model; or as a double door model for pass-through, barrier walloperation. Doors are bottom hinged and fold down to provide aloading surface.

Note: Thermal disinfection parameter of this product isexposure of materials to minimum 194°F (90°C) moist heatfor one minute, and up to 203°F (95°C) for ten minutes. Thisproduct is not a substitute for sterilization. Critical items, such as invasive surgical instruments, must be further proc-essed by terminal sterilization before reuse in any procedure.

STANDARDS AND CODES• ETL-C Testing Laboratories, Inc.• BGA – German Health Authority• SPRI – Swedish Planning & Rationalization Institute• California Seismic Code

STANDARD DESIGN FEATURESStainless steel fold-down load door(s) provides a surface towithdraw wash carts for loading and/or unloading operations.

Door interlock is featured on all models to provide an effectivebarrier against cross-contamination. The opening of door(s) issequenced by the controller to prevent premature opening of adoor or to prevent two doors from being opened simultaneously.Doors are locked during a cycle and remain locked in the event ofa power loss.

All exterior panels are 304 stainless steel construction, with a#4 polished finish. Double-walled, thermal and noise insulatedconstruction of the cabinet minimizes heat loss, while operat-ing at a very quiet 56-58 dBA.

The wash chamber is constructed of quality, low carbon, 16gauge, 316L stainless steel for increased resistance to corro-sive effect of water, contaminated materials and treatment chem-icals. Removable debris screen, water manifolds, spray arms andall recirculation piping are type 316L stainless steel.

1-1/2 HP corrosion free wash pump recirculates 160 gallons ofsolution per minute (600 liters/minute), to the spray arms at aconstant pressure for effective but gentle cleaning.

Rotary spray arms fixed at the top and bottom of the washchamber, combined with one or more intermediate rotary sprayarms between load levels, allow solutions to reach all surfacesto be cleaned.

Wash chamber can be set-up with independent pull-out upperand lower level wash carts, for single door units. This config-uration is well suited for point-of-use processing in small OR dis-infection rooms where floor space or use of transfer carts is aconcern. Loading and unloading takes place on the fold-download door. One intermediate spray arm provides cleaning cover-age between loads. Accommodates up to 3 SPRI-1 trays.

Without the upper level slides, the chamber can be configured forthe flexible four-level wash cart, with removable shelves andspray arms, to maximize chamber utilization for dedicated loadsor mixed loads.

Solutions in the circulating tank can be heated by eithersteam or electricity. The 7.5 kW steam coil will heat solutions ata rate of 45°F/minute (7°C/minute); the electric coil at42°F/minute (5.5°C/minute). Effectively and economically heatsand maintains thermal disinfection rinse temperatures of either194°F (90°C) for one minute, or 203°F (95°C) for 10 minutes.

Three (3) liquid dispensing pumps are standard and can beused to automatically dispense a programmed dosage of up to 3chemical additives. The dispensing of chemicals is programmedfor the best usage temperature. Two one-gallon containers canbe stored in the machine. Low level sensors will alert the operatorthrough the controller, when a container is empty. A cycle cannotbe started if a container is empty.

Hot vapors from the wash/disinfection treatment and from theoptional drying treatment are cooled by a cold water condens-ing mist before exiting the 3 inch (76 mm) OD exhaust vent atthe top of the machine. Moisture in the exhaust will be reducedto less than 40% after two minutes, and to an exhaust tempera-ture of approximately 120°F (50°C). It is recommended that thisexhaust be carried off using a hooded vent to a buildingexhaust with 140-175 CFM. However, it is not necessary and theunit may be installed nonvented, allowing the exhaust to return tothe room. When the washer is specified without a dryingpackage, the unit is provided without an exhaust vent, as thecondensing unit is capable of handling all of the hot vaporsfrom the chamber, sending the collapsed moisture to drain.

OPTIONAL DESIGN FEATURES

age to be installed and connected to the customer’s exhaust ventsystem. The machine’s integral condensing system collapses themoist vapor exhaust, sending the waste water to drain. A hoodedvent connection with 140-175 CFM is provided by others, to carryaway the excess.

printer to provide hard copy record of cycle phase performance.
