ECC is available to campers that are registered for a morning and/or afternoon camp. If you are only registered for a morning camp, you may use ECC from 7am-8am. If you are only registered for an afternoon camp, you may use ECC from 4pm-6pm. If your child is registered for a morning and an afternoon camp, you may use ECC 7am-8am and 4pm-6pm. ECC must be paid for at time of camp registration. Cost: 7-8 am, $30.00/week and 4-6 pm, $50.00/week

Grades 3-6 | June 4-8 | 12pm-4pm
Continue to develop fundamentals of the traditional games of basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, and flag football. We will also learn non-traditional games like netball, sabaki ball, and dodgeball. Players will practice the individual fundamentals needed for all of the sports. They will also practice how to use those fundamentals and apply them to game situations. All athletes receive a t-shirt.

The Art of Wizarding: Tri Wizard Challenge
Grades 3-6 | June 4-8 | 12pm-4-pm
You have been accepted to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! For one week dive into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Get sorted by the sorting hat and work towards earning the Hogwarts House Cup! Hogwarts will also be entering the Tri-Wizard Challenge this summer. We will explore the same subjects that Harry studied at Hogwarts: Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures, and Potions. Learn how these subjects truly connect to our Muggle world! Play a game of Quidditch, duel with our wands, and compete in the Tri-Wizard Challenge. Explore the amazing world only the best wizards get to see.

Baton Twirling
Grades 1-8 | June 4-8 | 12pm-4pm
Come see what the sport of baton is all about! Participants in this fun week will learn basic twirling skills, ribbon and poms. Baton twirling combines artistry and athletics and is great for boys and girls. No experience necessary.

Beginning Sewing Camp
Grades 3-8 | June 4-8 | 12pm-4pm
If you have ever wanted to learn some basic sewing techniques, this is the camp for you. We will learn how to thread a needle and tie a knot. We will practice a variety of different stitches using the needle. Each camper will have an opportunity to learn how a sewing machine works. Several projects will be completed during the week. All materials and sewing kit will be supplied. Please bring a sewing machine.

Calling All American Girls
Grades 2-5 | June 4-8 | 12pm-4pm
Get ready for a fun week with your American Girl doll. Together we will create crafts for you and your doll, explore the Doll of the Year, Luciana Vega, and much more. You can expect a week full of learning about American Doll characters, playing games, and team building activities. You do not have to have an American Girl doll to attend camp.

Mash Up – Bricks4Kidz
Grades 1-7 | June 4-8 | 12pm-4pm
This camp features some of our most popular themes inspired by Pokémon, Star Wars, Ninjago, Angry Birds, and Clash of Clans. Campers will be challenged with fun projects from a different theme each day including amazing motorized builds, 3D models, and mosaics – all, of course, with LEGO® bricks.

Math is Fun!

This year, experience an exciting twist on past Summer Science Spectacular Camps! This summer, come enjoy some of your favorite Disney movies in the company of your friends and discover the hidden science within each movie! Experiment with force and motion with the help of Lightening McQueen! Learn about weather patterns and the beauty of ice with Queen Elsa! Dive into the miniature world of insects with the help of some friends in “A Bug’s Life!” Hands on experimentation, take home projects, fun with friends, and more! What better way to spend a hot summer day!

Advanced Sewing Camp
Grades 3-8 | June 11-15 | 9am-12pm
In this camp you will have the unique opportunity to further your sewing machine skills. We will focus on clothing construction and the use of different types of fabrics. You will learn some tricks of the trade to make your garment look like a professional did it! A basic knowledge of how to thread a sewing machine & sewing skills is needed for this class. Please bring a sewing machine along with sewing notions and a lunch or snack. This camp takes place at Hoppy Lobby in Winter Springs. ECC is not available

Girls’ Basketball Camp
Grades 5-8 | June 11-15 | 8am-12pm
The camp is structured to continue to develop fundamentals of the game of basketball. Players will practice the individual fundamentals through dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense. They will also practice how to use those fundamentals and apply them to game situations. All players receive a t-shirt.

Math Marvels
Grades 5-7 | June 11-15 | 8am-12pm
Students will explore fractions/decimals/percents, integers, equations/inequalities, and problem-solving at the Middle Grades level through hands-on activities, use of technology and games. Students will improve their basic skills, enhance mathematical reasoning, and gain confidence as they learn strategies to make math easier and more fun!

Pokémon Fun

Super Hero!
Grades 1-3 | June 11-15 | 8am-12pm
Campers will explore all the caped crusaders and discover their super powers and your own super powers! We will be dressing up as various superheroes, creating a fantasy world that we must protect, and play games to enhance our super hero skills. Use your superhero skill to craft your own superhero logos and masks. Work collaboratively with our fellow superhero friends and use your problem solving skills through a week’s worth of fun.

Tech Force: Game Design
Grades 6-8| June 11-15 | 8am-12pm
Campers will experience the process of computer game design. This includes coding, programming, and animation development. They will build playable computer games. Each camper will receive a USB with applications used in class. This will encourage practice time at home and an interest in a challenging and fun hobby.

Writer’s Workshop

Writers, here is an opportunity to improve your craft. Whether you are already a proficient writer or still need some help, this camp is for you. We will work on a variety of writing styles catered to your level. This camp will include grammatical mini lessons to best prepare you for any writing task.

Camp Craft-A-Lot
Grades 1-5 | June 11-15 | 12pm-4pm
Get ready to be creative and make some wacky art such as Pasta People sculptures, erupting paint, Unicorn Slime, salt painting and so much more. We might get a little messy but we will create fun art pieces that will provide lots of laughter and great creative memories. Bring a cover-up and join a group of modern day Picassos taking the art world by storm. No art experience needed just a willingness to have fun. Be ready to craft-a-lot!

STEM Camp
Grades 3-5 | June 11-15 | 12pm-4pm
Calling all future scientists! Participants are going to be actively engaged in collaborative problem-solving STEM activities that will have the campers constructing structures using recycled materials competing in minute to win it contests and STEM activities that they can eat. Campers will be challenged with hands on investigations that use their science, math, and art skills while learning about technology and engineering. We will discuss real world situations and problems that can be solved using our newly learned STEM skills. We will be keeping a Science journal on all of our findings, just like a real scientist.

Come explore the world of Anime with Young Rembrandts! We will spend four days learning about and drawing cartoons in the Anime style. Learn to create your own original Anime characters. We will use a variety of facial expressions and action and movement to illustrate our scenes. Calling all “super friends!” Join us for a week of friendship and spreading kindness! Fun activities will center on peacefulness, empathy, cooperation, compassion and respect. Each day will begin with a story related to one of these, followed by a game, then a craft to take home. We will practice positive ways to communicate and share kindness with others. This is a great week to enjoy time with your friends, and make some new friends, too!

Grades 6-8 | June 25-29 | 8am-12pm
Tech force returns for another exciting camp. Campers will learn about energy by building numerous take home projects. These include a motor, Morse code sender, and the electronic “blinky bot”. There will be fun and engaging lab experiences in circuit building and electronic components. Campers will understand the real magic of electricity & electronics.

Campfire Kidz

Come join the fun as we “glamp” for the week and learn some fun wilderness skills along the way. We will have an outdoor scavenger hunt, make S’more’s, learn knot tying and have a great time camping indoors. Beat the heat and bugs and enjoy making animal track molds, telling campfire stories with Story Rocks and learning a few real life survival skills. We might even see a bear! Great for boys and girls who want to have an adventurous week.

Geometry In Action!
Grades 6-9 | June 25-29 | 12pm-4pm
Campers will experience project based learning of geometry concepts including perimeter, surface area, volume and circumference by designing and building a three-dimensional inflatable structure large enough to house our campers! At week’s end, campers and their families will enter our “Inflatable Classroom” to experience Geometry in Action!

Get ready to build and discover how your model transforms! Campers will love the mash-up of combination models that can be rebuilt into something different. Follow the step-by-step building plans and ignite your inner engineer by using your imagination to transform your model into something unique.

Join Super Awesome Cool Pottery as we explore wet clay and canvas painting. We will spin a bowl on the potter’s wheel, sculpt masterpieces in clay and create beautiful paintings on canvas! Wear clothes that can get messy and get ready to get your art on!

Boys’ Volleyball
Grades 5-8 | July 9-13 | 8am-12pm
The camp is structured to continue to develop fundamentals of the game of volleyball. Players will practice the individual fundamentals through hitting, setting, serving and passing. They will also practice how to use those fundamentals and apply them to game situations. This is a great opportunity for the boys who will be trying out to get ready to play for their high schools. All players receive a t-shirt.

Financial Literacy

Campers will explore economics, banking, investing and insurance. They will learn the basics of how individuals and societies make decisions regarding scarce resources, how various types of insurance (life, disability, health, property) and investments (mutual funds, annuities, stocks, bonds) work. They will understand how to balance a checkbook.

Get ready for a whirlwind tour through every instrument family from strings and woodwinds to percussion and brass! Each day we will focus on one instrument family, and learn basic rhythm and note reading along the way. You will get hands-on experience with an instrument every day!

MIND: Students will learn HOW to think, rather than what to think. Every camp, a different game is introduced and explored; strategy, game skills, and thinking concepts. Campers are then guided to make connections and applications to the real world.

This camp is designed to encourage girls of all ages to be brave and try new things because Brave is Beautiful! Focus will be placed on stepping out of your comfort zone, making new friends and exploring your own unique talents without comparing yourself to others. We will be testing out ideas for crafts and recipes found on Pinterest and learning firsthand that being brave and trying new things can be great fun! Stories will be shared from the book “Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls” by Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo, which emphasizes girls who were brave and made a difference in the world.

Sketch and Friends; Underwater Explorers
Grades 1-5 | July 9-13 | 12pm-4pm
Underwater exploration comes to life in this workshop. Follow four cartoon characters as they explore the deep blue sea. Students draw the cartoon characters in their underwater sea station, draw jokes about life on the job and illustrate other crazy encounters. Don’t miss the adventure!

Writers, here is an opportunity to improve your craft. Whether you are already a proficient writer or still need some help, this camp is for you. We will work on a variety of writing styles catered to your level. This camp will include grammatical mini lessons to best prepare you for any writing task.

Join Super Awesome Cool Pottery as we explore wet clay and canvas painting. We will spin a bowl on the potter’s wheel, sculpt masterpieces in clay and create beautiful paintings on canvas! Wear clothes that can get messy and get ready to get your art on!

Brick City Engineers – Bricks4Kidz

Let’s build a CITY! Campers will put their engineering and architecture skills to work as they build city themed models using LEGO® Bricks. They’ll have a blast using custom-built cars to move the people of the city all around town – brick by brick! What an accomplishment to be able to proudly exclaim “We built this BRICK City!”

Girls’ Volleyball
Grades 5-8 | July 16-20 | 8am-12pm
The camp is structured to continue to develop fundamentals of the game of volleyball. Players will practice the individual fundamentals through hitting, setting, serving and passing. They will also practice how to use those fundamentals and apply them to game situations. This is a great opportunity for the girls who will be trying out to get ready for try outs. All players receive a t-shirt.

SCIENCE: Campers will dive deep into various scientific concepts such as electricity, inventions, sound, energy, and more through hands-on play and activities.
ART: Campers get to travel around the world exploring different countries and their cultures. They will use various art techniques to craft something important from what they learned.

Wizarding World Year II

All aboard the Hogwarts Express for year 2 of the Wizarding World. Join us for a week of advance potions, charms, herbology and magical creatures in addition to writing with a quill, participating in a Sorcerer’s Stone Challenge and Tri-Wizard Tournament. Camp Change and Cancellation Policy
There is a $25 fee for any change made to a camp after registration is submitted
If a parent cancels a camp 10 days prior to camp start date, 50% of camp fee will be refunded. If less than a 10 day notice of
camp start date, no refund will be given
In the unfortunate event that SLLS must cancel a camp, parents/guardians will be notified via email and telephone not later
than the Wednesday before the camp starts. A full refund or transfer of camp registration fee will be processed.
