We are all part of God's vine and are rooted in His rich soil. We are nurtured and supported so that we may grow and spread out into the world to love and to serve. Home Learning Guidelines: Use the grid below to help structure your child’s home learning. We would encourage children to complete at least 2 activities from each column and record their learning experience in their challenge book. This could be done in a variety of ways. For example, writing a few sentences about what they learnt, drawing a picture, sticking in a photograph, completing a thought bubble etc. To support your child at home with reading we ask that your child reads at least 4 times a week. Remember there are lots of resources to support reading on our website. There is no expectation that your child completes the home learning challenges if they are unwell or if circumstances at home are such that the completion of the tasks cause unnecessary stress and anxiety to the household.

We are all part of God's vine and are rooted in His rich soil. We are nurtured and supported so that we may grow and spread out into the world to love and to serve.

Home Learning Guidelines:

Use the grid below to help structure your child’s home learning.

Convert some of the answers into decimals by dividing the numerator by the denominator using the bus stop method. Put in your decimal place and add a zero after it E.g. 3/5

Science Experiment1. On some white card, cut out 2 circles that are exactly the

same size.2. Colour in your circles using rainbow colours, any way you

wish. The colours will “mix” on any concentric circles. (see video for the effect).

3. Cut out your circles.4. Stick your circles together.5. Make two small holes (approx 1cm apart, if not 8mm) on

either side of the centre of the circle.6. Thread string approx 40cm in length through and tie.

Have a go at spinning!

WHITE LIGHT: when this rainbow spinner is going fast enough it actually appears as white every so often – confirming that “white light” is made up of all the colours of the rainbow. For an accurate “white light”, you would probably have to adjust the proportion of each colour correctly, as well as get it spinning really fast.
