ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

Adult Volunteer Background Checks

4-H Leaders enrolled in 4-H Online may be due for a background check. These are

conducted by the University of Wisconsin-Extension every four years for youth

protection purposes. Volunteers may be asked to enter an e-mail address on the

Volunteer Screening section of the re-enrollment process. This e-mail address

should be unique to you (i.e. not an account you share with a spouse/family

member). If you are asked to provide this e-mail address, please watch your e-mail

for a message from GIS asking you to complete a background check form. The

process is fully online, but technical assistance or paper options are available at the

UW-Extension office if you need them (the process does require a valid Social

Security Number). Please contact Portage County UW-Extension with any questions.

CASIMER BOOSTERS 4-H CLUB, AUGUST 14, 2017 - CLUB REPORT

Meeting was called to order at 6:31 on August 14th, 2017 by club president Grace Z. Pledges were said and roll call was taken.

The treasurer’s report and secretary’s report were not asked for.

We moved on to old business which was the Upham Woods summer camp that many members enjoyed, and of our club Zoë

Z. was a camp counselor. The Amherst Fair took place, which was very fun. Our club enjoyed it and even helped in the food

booth. We had a summer swim party at the municipal pool. Only a few members attended but we still had fun swimming and

had pizza afterwards.

For new business, Zoë Z. handed out Rosholt Fair tags. Members were asked to help with fair clean up on August 27. The

project drop-off date was announced for August 31. Animals are dropped off from 5-9 on Sep. 1st. Sandi D. then talked about

a benefit for a former 4-H member. Zoë Z. made a motion to purchase two raffle/dinner tickets for the benefit and Carson K.

seconded the motion and it was carried.

Meeting was adjourned and next meeting is September 11th, 2017.

CASIMER BOOSTERS 4-H CLUB, SEPTEMBER 18, 2017 - CLUB MINUTES

Meeting was called to order on September 28th, 2017 at 6:35 PM by President Grace Z. Pledges were said and roll call was

taken. Quintin presented the treasurers report and we have $733.61. The report was then accepted. I gave my secretary’s report

which was also accepted.

We then moved on to old business and we had the Rosholt Fair. Our club won the Clean Barn Award for rabbits and the

members that attended the fair enjoyed their time there. Then we talked about record books, which were due, and then moved

on to new business.

We had the club fair that took place this meeting and then we talked about having our fall activity. Our club decided to yet

again attend the Corn Maze on October 21, 2017 for 10:30 AM. Next we discussed re-enrollments and 4-H promotion for 4-H

week.

Upcoming events that were briefly talked about were the Teen Leader meeting and the Market Animal meeting. We then got

our Amherst Fair premiums handed out to each of us.

Carson K. made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Quintin B. seconded it. Meeting was then adjourned. Next meeting is

October 9, 2017 at 6:30 PM at St. Casimir’s Church.

CASIMER BOOSTERS 4-H CLUB, SEPTEMBER 18, 2017 - CLUB REPORT

The Casimir Boosters 4-H club met on September 18th in St. Casimir Church. It was the first time in a while the club met

because of all our busy summers (including the Fairs!)

We all brought in a couple of our 4-H projects to talk about and share with each other at the end of the meeting. We talked

about the fall activity we are planning. We agreed on a corn maze like last year but we did not get a for-sure date planned yet.

It would most likely be on a Saturday in October at 10:30 AM and it would cost $3.00 per member. A reminder that re-

enrollments are coming up, too. 4-H Week is in October, which is very soon, so our club is going to try to put up posters or a

library display around the schools to promote 4-H during October!

We then talked about some upcoming events like the Teen Leader meeting and the Market Animal meeting. Then we finished

with sharing our projects that we brought to the club fair. Our next meeting will be on October 9th.
