KROGER COMMUNITY REWARDS PROGRAM – We had 110 households participate in this program for the quarter. As a result, OLPH has earned $2,460.73. A big thank you to all of those who have registered their Kroger Plus cards and have chosen OLPH as the beneficiary. It’s not too late – register your card today! MOVIE NIGHT January 28 at 7 pm in the Social Hall we will be starting up our movie nights once again. Free movie, free popcorn, and free soft drinks WOW! Come one, come all. We always show a family friendly movie. BIBLE STUDY right here at OLPH every Thursday morning at 10:30 am to noon. We discuss the coming Sunday readings over a cup of coffee. All are welcome, you don’t have to be a bible scholar, just have a desire to learn and share. For more information, please call Gene Stupin at 776-3061.

YOUTH GROUP

YOUTH MEETING JANUARY 31 in the Social Hall! We will make chocolates! We will also discuss the movie that

we will watch on February 6 along with dinner ideas. Please sign up on the Youth Bulletin Board in the Commons.

ON FEBRUARY 6 the Youth Group will attend the 5:30 Mass, say the Rosary after Mass, have dinner and then watch a movie. Come join us for an evening of faith and fellowship. The sign-up sheet is on the Youth Bulletin Board.

SOUP FOR SENIORS Help a senior have a hot meal when it is cold outside! OLPH will collect cans of

soup, cans of fruit and crackers the weekend of Saturday January 30 and Sunday January 31. Please

place your canned soup, fruit and or crackers in the boxes in the Commons. Thank you for your support as

we collect soup for our elderly neighbors!

MARCH FOR LIFE The 42nd March for Life is January 22 in Washington, DC. Make this the year that you attend. An Abbott bus will pick up people who wish to attend at 7:00 am at St Elias Catholic Church parking lot in Roanoke. Cost is $20 per person, $10 for students. There will be a light breakfast and lunch provided on the bus. On the return trip the bus will stop at a place to get supper. Supper is on your own. You may bring your own snacks on the bus if you wish. Would you like to attend, but don’t feel you can do the march? Come anyway the bus will drop you off at the Basilica where you will be able to attend Mass and pray while the March is going on. Bottled water will be provided as well as a couple of restroom breaks going to and returning from the March. You will find entry blanks on the bulletin boards out in the Commons. Please submit forms no later than January 15 to St. Joseph Catholic Church , 2481 Spruce St. Martinsville, VA 24112. Write in care of Bob Humkey on the envelope.
