I am writing to inform you of the 2nd Annual IoT, Big Data Healthcare Summit taking place in Toronto on May 24th and 25th, 2017. It is the third overall event of its kind in Canada. We have successfully organized similar events in Toronto, June, 2016 and in Vancouver, January, 2017.
Response to these Summits has been encouraging and progressive from participating and leading healthcare professionals, as well as, supported by leading technology companies in the healthcare space.
With financial pressures and rising costs on healthcare systems and hospitals, coupled with lack of investments into these systems, matched with baby boomers fast approaching retirement age the demands on healthcare and health services will increase sharply. A key factor in addressing these factors, locally and globally, is healthcare usage of technology to improve these services, especially utilization of Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data tools. These technologies and tools can improve care, decision making, reduce costs, enhance information sharing and increased efficiency. As per Forbes, value of the Healthcare IoT market will be worth $117 billion by 2020, a significant increase.
Increases in the costs and demands of healthcare and hospital services requires efficiency, plus out of the box thinking, in order to maintain high healthcare standards and provide increased levels of care. The IoT and Big Data Healthcare Summit will allow you to hear from Canadian leaders in the healthcare industry to understand how they are using IoT and Big Data to improve care, enhance services and become more efficient. In our past two conferences, we have had valuable case studies, introduction to new technologies with interactive and engaging discussions across two days. This year’s Summit agenda is no different. It will allow you and your colleagues to learn from, as well as, network and share ideas with leading healthcare providers and technology companies.
