Sufi Master Coming to BillingsSufi Master to Lead a Series of Healing and Inspirational Events in Billings, Montana Barjon’s Books and Billings First Congregational Church partner together to host Sufi Master Hafizullah Chishti for a series of speaking and workshop events in April, 2018
Barjon’s Books and Billings First Congregational Church have partnered together to host Sufi Master Hafizullah Chishti for three events at Billings First Congregational Church on 310 N. 27th St., April 21 and April 22, 2018.
The first event on Saturday, April 21 is an all-day workshop entitled “The Transparent Healer,” offering practical tools that help develop a deep intuition, a healing presence, and a deepening commitment to personal and planetary transformation. We all have the potential to heal and to become healers. This highly-interactive workshop will help participants perceive the ways we may unconsciously create undue effort, stress, and inertia in our lives and to source greater ease, inner spaciousness, and joy from our spiritual depth.
Then later in the evening, Hafizullah will offer an evening of “Zikr: the Sufi Practice of Divine Presence,” embodying heart-focused chant, breath, and attunement. The following day on Sunday April 22, Hafizullah will speak at the morning service at Billings First Church, which is open to the public.
Transparent Healing Workshop will be held Saturday, April 21 from 9am to 5pm. Tickets on sale now at Barjon’s Books. General admission is $75; seniors $45. A limited number of scholarships are available for those in need.

About Sufism
The Sufis are an ancient spiritual school, of somewhat uncertain historical origins, taking its present form in the East beginning about a thousand years ago. One may recognize a confluence of characteristically “Sufic” elements reaching back to the ancient Egyptian and Greek mystery schools, as well as inner teachings of the Judaic, Christian, and Islamic streams indigenous to the Mideast, along with strong echoes from the Zoroastrian tradition and Central Asian shamanism. The Ināyati Order is an inheritor of a stream of “universal” Sufism which took form
in India 800 years ago which affirms the common ideals of, and draws membership from, all religious faiths. The Sufi path was first brought to the West from India by Hazrat Inayat Khan, and “The Sufi Order of the West” was
founded in 1910 in London. The order was renamed the Ināyati Order in 2016.

As spiritual travelers we endeavor to align with this Intrinsic order and it is in openness to its aliveness, fluidity, and boundlessness that we become an agent of true, seamless healing and awakening, whatever our chosen path or healing modality. In this perspective, “perfection” lies not in the shape of things but in our openness to experience. In this second of the three events, Hafizullah will offer an evening of “Zikr: the Sufi Practice of Divine Presence” embodying heart-focused chant, breath, and attunement. The Sufi practice of “Zikr” is a moving meditation & an embodied prayer. Its vibrations touch all planes of our being, harmonizing them and opening our awareness to our further possibilities of living as light-beings, yet deeply grounded, from the heart. The practice itself incorporates chant, breath, and gentle unison movement, simple-enough to pick up without explanation or prior experience, but going very deep. It will leave you feeling cleansed from the inside out. For those who are attending the daytime workshop, admission is included in the workshop registration. For those not attending the previous workshop, this evening event is open to the general public for a suggested donation of $5–$15, or as able.
