Join us on Wednesday, May 31st in welcoming acclaimed Llewelyn author Raven Digitalis to Barjon’s Books!
Raven Digitalis is the author of Esoteric Empathy, Shadow Magick Compendium, Planetary Spells & Rituals and Goth Craft, all on Llewellyn Publishing. He is a Neopagan Priest and cofounder of an “Eastern Hellenistic” nonprofit community Temple called Opus Aima Obscuræ (OAO). Also trained in Eastern philosophies and Georgian Witchcraft, Raven has been an earth-based practitioner since 1999, a Priest since 2003, a Freemason since 2012, and an empath all of his life. He holds a degree in anthropology from the University of Montana and is also a professional Tarot reader, DJ, small-scale farmer and animal rights advocate.
Raven will be doing a question and answer session from 5pm - 5:30pm followed by a book signing from 5:30 - 7:00pm. In addition, Raven will be doing a select number of one-on-one 45 minute Tarot Readings from Noon - 5pm. My crows and ravens are once again flocking to their favorite roosting place. In mythology all great adventures had quests of 3. This will be my birds’ third encounter at Barjon’s. I know something very special will happen during this magical reunion.There are a few of the old flock returning, but most of this visit will be the newly hatched.I will be accompanying my flock all the way from Shell, Wyoming.Excited to be in Billings with my birds once again, I will be sharing the Lenape story of Rainbow Crow in storytelling sessions at 6pm and again at 8pm. Young and old are welcome to share the circle to hear a story of bravery and self sacrifice as crow performed a dangerous task for the sake of others.Raven the creator, crow the trickster, crow the brave seeker of fire -these are the subjects of many, many Native American tribal stories from coast to coast. These corvids have inspired ageless world wide admiration, wonder and even fear. I hope you will come to Barjon’s on May 5 to see what they have inspired in me.
