COLLECT
Lord of all life and power, who through the mighty resurrection of your Son overcame the old order of sin and death to make all things new in him: grant that we, being dead to sin and alive to you in Jesus Christ, may reign with him in glory; to whom with you and the Holy Spirit be praise and honour, glory and might, now and in all eternity. Amen.
FOR YOUR PRAYERS THIS WEEK
In the worldwide Anglican Communion we pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the people of the Holy Land. We pray for the Province of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui (Anglican Province of Hong Kong & Macau); for The Most Revd Dr Paul Kwong, our archbishop and primate; and for all bishops, priests and deacons within our diocese and province. We pray for the Diocese of Western Kowloon; for the Rt Revd Andrew Chan, the Diocesan Bishop, and all clergy; for the evangelistic ministry of the Diocese; for the churches, schools and social service units of the Diocese; for the development of the mission churches (Church of Divine Love and Church of Shalom) to become parishes; for those who receive God’s calling to the Holy Orders; for all the citizens living in the areas of the Diocese.
Within the Cathedral Parish we pray for the Cathedral church and its various congregations, for the Dean and chaplains; for our daughter churches: Discovery Bay Church, St Stephen’s Chapel, Stanley and Emmanuel Church, Pokfulam; and their Priests in Charge.
We also remember our Council mem-bers, Cathedral Staff, Cathedral Servers, Cathedral Sidesmen, Poverty Alleviation Group, our Prison Ministry, Music Min-istry, and Lunchtime Recitals.
We also pray for our link Diocese of Toungoo, Myanmar; for The Rt Revd Dr Saw Shee Sho, his priests, people and ministry. PRAYER REQUESTS

ANGLICAN CONSULTATIVE COUNCIL (ACC) 17 MEETS IN HONG KONG
The role of the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC) which meets once every 3 years is to facilitate the co-operative work of the 40 provinces of the Anglican Communion, exchange information, and help co-ordinate common action. It ad-vises on the organisation and structures of the Communion, and seeks to develop common policies with respect to the world mission of the Church, including ecumenical matters.
The current chair is the Most Revd Dr Paul Kwong of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui. The Archbishop of Canterbury is the President of ACC.
ACC will meet in Hong Kong from 28th April to 3rd May. We invite you to the Opening Eucharist on 28th April at 5.00pm, with the Archbishop of Canter-bury preaching, and the Closing Eucha-rist on 5th May at 4.00pm, both at St John’s Cathedral.
All are welcome.

You can also call the office at 2523 4157 or email: [email protected] Dr Chan has over 20 years of experi-ence in treatment and counselling of a variety of areas including addiction (both substance use disorder and be-havioural addiction), relationship and martial issues, youth development, emotional and mental health prob-lems, in Australia and in Hong Kong. Dr Chan has over 15 years experience in supervision and clinical consulta-tion. She also serves as the Interna-tional Commissioner for the National Commission for Addiction Profes-sional and NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, and as the Co-Chairman for the Asia Pacific Commission for Addiction Profes-sional. She has presented papers and provided workshops at different in-ternational conferences and training courses including the International Conferences on Addiction and in-volved in the working group of Gam-ing Disorder organised by WHO.

Pilgrimage to Oberammergau Passion Play and Bavaria
6th—13th June 2020
8 Day Tour with day ticket to Oberammergau Passion Play
400 Years ago plague was raging across Europe, killing hundreds of thousands. In 1633 the people of Oberammergau village promised that if God spared them from the plague they would perform the suffering, death and resurrection of Christ every ten years. The villagers’ prayer was answered and since then every ten years the village has performed the passion play.
In 2020 the villagers will perform the 42nd production of the Oberammergau Passion Play. This unique production involves over 2,000 performers, musi-cians and stage technicians, all residents of the village. The Passion of Christ is woven with living tableaux, scenes depicting Old Testament events which prefigured Jesus’ life.
The pilgrimage will include visits to churches, abbeys, palaces, castles and art galleries in Munich, Bavaria and Innsbruck, as well as a visit to Dachau Nazi concentration camp.
