Before you came to Taiwan

Prepare culture sharing PPT Prepare something that can

represent your country and your own culture.EX: flag , candy , etc.

Discuss the session with usonline( Skype . FB ) , givingyour ideas , getting theinformation about SessionDesign progress .

Make a video including: greetings in your language/selfintroduction /expectation toward your experience in Taiwan EX: What do you want the kids to learn? What is the thing you want toexperience the most in Taiwan?

After you came to Taiwan

Session Design

• There will be several sessions have been created by Taiwanese . You will also create some new sessions with partners . Thinking about some activities to add or revise some contents from the session created .

• Making the materials we need during the camp and session together.• Session run down & Rehearsal

These are the general topics of sessions:1. Culture sharing – Let the children know about your country .2. Global issue sharing – Let children know about the important issue

happening around the world such like global warming , child labor , etc. 3. Know more about Taiwan– Let the children think about some issue in

Taiwan and discuss about why cause it happen and how can change it . Do something to promote Taiwan.

4. Just do it – Let the children do the act of change . Making some activities to improve their leadership . Let them share about their dreams and think about how to achieve it .

Culture Sharing

• Teaching students greetings or some special action from your country ( Beginning - morning greeting , Lunch time , Close - say good bye)

• Using PPT to share your culture with the video or ( wearing national costume, giving them some special things from your country . )

• Thinking about some games from your country or making some activities, let them can review the contents of your culture sharing .

During the camp

Final presentation

• Helping students in your group to discuss and conduct the activities of session. • Be a instructor in your responsible session.

• In the last day of each camp , there will be a presentation and we will invite their parents and some important people of school .

• Lead your group to think about what you want to present or performance .• Conduct your group to practice every day.

After Chinese New Year

Hold an event

• This events may invite all the school and children from each camps and let the citizens of Kaohsiung City join together.

• We will discuss together and you have to think about some activities about your culture that people toexperience .

• Let the people in Kaohsiung know more about your culture & Shine your country .

• Put results & reflections of camp to let people know more about who are we & why we do this things .

Chinese New Year

• You will stay with the host family or our Taiwanese helper and OC team.

• First day , you may have a big dinner with the family.

• Next few days , they may take you to travel or visit some places. ( It depends on your family)

• Taking some videos or pictures and thinking something that can combine with you culture or can use and share in the big event .

Evaluation & Keep in touch

• Fill in Evaluation form & reflection report hand-in.• Submit all the materials: photos, videos, weekly report… • You need to finish all of them about the end of project,

but before departure.

During the camp in3 elementary schools

•You will meet and work with 6 other global youths from all over the world , and you will have chances to experience the local culture of Taiwan. So please be open-minded and respect different cultures and living styles.

•Children paid for attending the camp ,so please be responsible and alwaystry your best when designing or delivering your sessions.

•In Taiwan , you represent your country , and since children in Taiwan seldom have chance to meet foreigners , they will consider you as their role model. So please think carefully before you talk or do anything.

•This is a project that requires lots of team work. We are looking for people who are willing to cooperate with people and with good communication skills.

AIESEC WZU in Taiwan is located in Kaohsiung, the second biggest city in Taiwan.

AIESEC WZU was established in the year of 2000 in Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages.

In 2011 and 2012, we were led by Anew Lin (1415 MCP of AIESEC Taiwan).Finally, we won the Best Progress Award and Best oGCDP Award of the year.
