Until now, the wireless control of cranes and machinery has required a dedicated radio control system assigned to that machine. Controlling a large group of machines, therefore, required the installation of a large number of dedicated systems. Our innovative feature merlin® MAP allows an operator to access any machine within a group of machines using a single radio transmitter.

This concept eliminates the predefined pairing of the two radio devices. Instead, each machine is equipped with 1 receiver and 1 corresponding merlin® MAP module. To take control of a machine, the operator simply holds the transmitter to the module and logs on to this machine. Subsequently, the access point is blocked from any other user until the operator releases control of the machine with the simple push of a button on the transmitter. The access point and associated receiver then becomes available to others.
