FAQIs AidCurrent a non-profit organization?

No, we just like to help out where we can. Many non-profits actively seek out art for fund-raising purposes, we’re just doing it backwards.

Are purchases or donated amounts tax-deductable?

No. That’s the short answer. The long answer is similar – nooooo. It’s complicated but basically that’s the deal.

Come on, it can’t be that complicated, are you just being lazy?

Ok, here’s the deal, even if we did set up AidCurrent as a non-profit organization, purchases still wouldn’t be tax-deductable. Legally speaking, only any portion of a “sale” that is over the actual stated value of the item sold is eligible for a tax-deduction. Since nothing on this site is posted for more than its listed retail value, no dime of any purchase could legally be tax-deductable.

How do I know the donation I selected is actually made?

We send verification of every donation with each order. It’s easy.

If I don’t want to donate, can I just purchase the art for less?

No. Everything sold on AidCurrent matches the prices where the same items are sold direct from the artist’s personal sites. We have a strict “no markup” policy. They must be willing to donate the dol-lars they otherwise would have made from these sales. But you are welcome to visit any of their sites and purchase direct from them if donating dollars just isn’t your thing.

What about refunds and returns and stuff like that?

All purchases are final. Don’t worry, you’ll be stoked. We’re human too though, so if you’re really not happy we’ll do our best to work with you.

Waitaminute, you keep saying “we”, is this really just you, Matt Beard? What gives?

Yep, you got me… sorta. I’m putting on the “we” because this truly is a joint effort that my wife and I have been working toward for many years. And one day we’d like to include more artists and expand this platform to do even greater things. But for now, yeah, I’m just using myself as the guinea pig to test out a bunch of different ideas and see what works or doesn’t.

These FAQ’s are no good, I have other questions.

Using this CatalogThis catalog is designed to be a flexible tool for those who enjoy Matt Beard’s art and want to contribute to organizations doing good work in their communities.

It can be used by individuals to browse the most up to date selection of Matt Beard’s art in existence, and to place orders and support their favorite non-profits all at once.

Up to 40% of any order can be directed to the non-profit of the customer’s choice.

It can also be used by non-profits for fund-raising campaigns, or by individuals wishing to spearhead campaigns on behalf of the organization. Additional catalogs are available for groups upon request.

For orders totalling over $1000, an additional 10% can be directed to the non-profit OR the individual organizing the fund-raising campaign, because we know it takes time and effort to engage communities and we want EVERYONE to benefit from our efforts.

Can we do that? Yep. We can... well we are anyway and nobody has stopped us yet.

Limited Edition Archival Canvas Prints (Lath framed)

The next best thing to owning the original, these prints are the highest quality prints we offer, printed on state of the art large format printers with pigment based inks for rich colors with the full spectrum of subtleties required to match the depth and color complexity of the original paintings themselves. These prints are sprayed with a protective uV blocking varnish for sealing and durability, then given two coats of hand applied acrylic varnish for further protection and to lend an organic hand painted feel. For every image Beard offers on canvas, he limits production to only 95 prints at ANY size, each print ordered is the next in the sequence, and when 95 prints have been produced, the addition will be complete and no further canvas prints will be produced. Each print is signed by the artist and numbered with gold ink, and includes a certificate of authenticity signed and completed by the artist as well.

Each print is pencil signed by the artist in the lower left margin and titled in the lower right. Size listed is the image size, there is an additional 1/2″ margin all the way around the image.
