    MEMBER SERVICEMembership CardsAll new members (11yrs old and older) willreceive a bar-coded membership card which they are

    required to scan each time they enter the Y facility. Fora family membership, each family member needs to scanhis or her card upon entrance into the facility.

    Day PassesNon-member guests who would like to use the facilityare required to pay for a day pass at the front desk.Guests are expected to follow all rules set for members.

    Lockers and LocksFor your convenience, lockers are available inthe locker rooms for daily use. We strongly

    recommend you bring a lock to secure yourpersonal items.

    Age guidelinesYouth under age 15 must be accompanied by a legalguardian or be participating in a YMCA program while inthe facility. Ages 11-14 must be accompanied by alegal guardian in the Wellness Center areas and havecompleted a fitness center orientation.

    JERSEY SHORE BRANCH YMCAWINTER SWIM TEAM2013-2014 SeasonCome join the fun, excitement, and friendships that competitive swimming canbring! Our coaching staff is experienced with helping kids at any skill level toimprove their stroke techniques and abilities. In addition, swimming is also a greatway to get in shape and stay fit!

    The Jersey Shore Branch YMCAs swim season will begin mid-October and consistsof weekday practices along with five swim meets on weekends (both home and

    away). The season ends with a Championship Meet in mid-February.

    kids and adults, anyone can enjoy learning and creating projects all different

    Ride/Walk with the YSunday, September 29, 2013

    Join us at this popular, family-oriented event on the beautiful 'Rails-to-Trails' in ourarea! Choose to participate on foot or bicycle on one of four different courselengths. All four courses feature sight-seeing opportunities, such as fall foliage andspectacular land marks. Optional transportation is provided from the Jersey ShoreYs rear parking lot to each courses starting location, with all courses ending at theYMCA. Lunch and prizes will be served until 5:30 PM at the Y upon return. Allproceeds from the Ride support the Jersey Shore Ys annual Strong Kids Campaign.

    Dont miss this years ever-popular Longaberger Basket Bingo! Thisis one of the best Basket Bingo events in the area! Tickets for thisevent will be sold in advance as well as at the door on the day of theevent.     POWER STEP AEROBICSJoin this enjoyable, challenging workout that can beadapted to any fitness level! This class combines circuittraining with steps, aerobic exercises, weights, andkettle bells resulting in a powerful workout that willburn fat and tone muscle.

    ZUMBAZumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before you knowit, youre getting fit and your energy levels are soaring!Theres no other fitness class like a Zumba fitnessparty. Its easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating,often building a deep-rooted community amongreturning students.

    ZUMBA GOLDThis class takes the Zumba formula and modifies themoves and pacing to suit the needs of active agingadults, as well as those just starting their journey to afit and healthy lifestyle.     YOGAA basic yoga class using Hatha and Vinyasa styles tobuild your fitness level and increase your range ofmotion.

    PILATES/CARDIO BALLPilates is a conditioning program that improves musclecontrol, flexibility, coordination, strength, and tone.Appropriate for all individuals, regardless of physicalcondition or age. Mat-based exercises promote goodposture, proper breathing and body control. Pilatestraining lengthens and strengthens your muscles,

    especially the abdomen, buttocks and thighs. It relievetension, improves posture, and helps protect againstinjuries.

    COMMIT TO BE FIT - RVR YMCAChallengeOur annual eight-week fitness program between the RVRbranches will begin this fall! At the end of the eight week

    session, our YMCA has a chance to compete in a fitnesschallenge against our 4 neighboring branches of the RVRYMCA, who will have also participated in this challenge dur-ing the course. More details are coming soon - ask us howto get involved!

    Y-KIDS LEARN PRESCHOOLOur preschool program for ages 3 to 5 provideschildren with a safe environment in which they cangrow and develop to their full potential. We have adedicated and professional staff who will help yourchild grow socially and educationally while alsoteaching the values of caring,honesty, respect and responsibility. Whileenrolled in Y-Kids, your child will experience:

    There are currently 3 preschool class options: Mon/Wed/Fri ages 4 &5 - $120 per month Tues/Thurs - age 3 - $100 per month Mon-Fri - age 4 & 5 - $200 per month

    SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE (SACC)Our School Age Child Care, for ages 5 to 12 years,

    provides a safe and structured environment with manyactivities to keep your child busy and focused. Some othe activities your child will experience while enrolled the Jersey Shore YMCA SACC program are: Homework time Crafts Games Gym time Outdoor Activities

    Child care is available Monday through Friday, beforeand/or after school. We also provide all-day care forschool district-scheduled days off (i.e. Act 80 &scheduled vacation days) and weather related closingsThe YMCA reserves the right to close for weatherrelated reasons in extreme cases.

    Brick House is an after school program for adolescents and teens, generallythose in junior high and high school, that is offered at no costno costno costno cost in part by the

    generosity of the Lycoming County United Way.

    The program is designed to prepare youth and teens for success in lifethrough activities that build self-esteem and teach important life skills. BrickHouse promotes healthy lifestyle decisions and habits and is focused towardkeeping kids off the street after school. Our friendly and caring staff mentorsprovide each teen with a unique experience. Teens will be engaged inactivities that include homework help, tutoring, mentoring, goal setting, sportsgames, teen leadership opportunities, career planning, educationalpossibilities, and workshops about preventing drug and alcohol use. Service

    learning is stressed and encouraged. The program is both fun and educational.

    New this year- participants will have the opportunity to participate in weeklyactivities that are exclusively for Brick House participants. Activities willinclude: mini-fitness classes, trivia contests, guest speakers, art activities,group games and lots more!

    CHILDWATCHOur YMCA has a pleasant environment for yourchildren ages 3 months to 5 years old in ourchild watch room. While you work out, yourchildren are cared for by our qualified YMCAstaff. This service is FREE to members and$1.00 per child, per visit for non-members.

    Adult Sports Leagues at the Y offer adults alternative opportunities to stay active and engage in healthy lifestyles,other than simply going to the gym and working out.
