The Centre Court Athletic Club (CCAC) is a community facility, owned and operated by the Hanover Park Park Dis-trict. We offer the fi nest in services and facilities for fi tness, health, racquetball and tennis for the entire family all at rea-sonable rates. Stop by or call us for a tour.

RegistrationRegistering for a Centre Court Athletic Club program couldn’t be easier. To register, please stop by the Club front desk, locat-ed on the lower level of the Community Center or call (630) 837-6300 and register using cash, check, Visa, Discover or Mastercard. Fitness CenterThis 2400 sq. ft. center features state-of-the-art resistance & cardiovascular equipment and a fully equipped 600 sq. ft. free weight room.

Handicap AccessibilityThe Park District and the CCAC are handicapped accessible and comply with A.D.A. standards. The elevator is acces-sible from all 3 levels and is available for public use.

Locker Rooms, Whirlpools & SaunasClub members will enjoy the clean and spacious men’s & women’s locker rooms, each with its own whirlpool and sauna.

Lounge and Snack BarThe central core of the club includes a lounge area complete with a big screen TV where members and guests may relax after a hard workout.

Kids Korner ServiceKids Korner service is available to program participants who utilize the Centre Court Athletic Club. The Kids Korner, lo-cated next to the Aerobic Studio, is available Monday-Fri-day from 9 am - 3 pm (by appointment only).

Pro ShopA complete stock of the latest in tennis, racquetball, fi tness equipment and accessories is available at competitive pric-es. A professional racket stringing & gripping service is also available.

Racquetball CourtsThe four racquetball courts offer hardwood fl oors and com-plete climate control for year round playing comfort.

Tennis CourtsOur 10 indoor tennis courts feature the “Chevron Laykold¨ surface which offers a true bounce and minimum leg fatigue to players of every ability. Four of the indoor courts are air-conditioned for your summertime comfort.

Refund, Cancellation & Transfer Policy:Please see page 46 for the policy of the Hanover Park Park District.

Court Reservations & CancellationsMembers may reserve court time up to seven days in ad-vance. Cancellation of court time must be made at least 24 hours in advance of play. Members are responsible for court fees if for any reason they wish to cancel less than 24 hours and the court cannot be sold. Members who make reserva-tions and fail to show are responsible for the cost of the court and are charged accordingly.

Guest PolicyNon-members who wish to utilize the tennis and racquetball courts are responsible for $6 ($8 nr) guest fee. Non-mem-bers using the fi tness center, whirlpool and sauna only, will be responsible for an $8 ($10 nr) guest fee.

Monthly Play PassIf playing a lot of tennis is high on your priority list you can’t go wrong by purchasing a Play Pass. Reservations may be made up to 48 hours in advance, initially for one-and-a-half hours of tennis. If the court is available at the end of that time, just keep playing until you drop! Non-play pass holders must pay their portion of the court time fees. A valid CCAC membership is required to purchase a play pass.

Membership InformationCCAC offers two types of memberships for your specifi c athletic club needs. Our “club membership” is an all inclu-sive membership that covers the three main aspects of the club; tennis, fi tness and racquetball. Our “fi tness member-ship” is the same as the “club membership” except it elimi-nates the tennis aspect of the club.

Membership Payment PlanMembers will now have the opportunity to put their mem-bership fees on an Auto-Debit payment plan through their checking account. This will allow members the opportunity to begin using the Club without paying one large fee upfront. Members will be asked to pay their fi rst and last month’s fees at the beginning of their membership. The Auto-Debit payment plan is available for these membership options:

Membership Options • Family Memberships include husband, wife, and members of the immediate family who are age 21 and under and who reside at the same residence. • Junior Memberships are available for individuals age 17 and under. Fitness center usage requires an orientation session for youths ages 11-15, at which time a parent or legal guardian must be in attendance. Any subsequent use of the fi tness equipment by youth ages 11-13 mustbe under the supervision of the parent or legal guardian. Youth ages 11-15 will not be allowed to use the free weight area. The fi tness center will only be open to youths ages 11-15 at the following times: Weekdays 2 - 6 pm Weekends 12 - 6 pm • Senior Citizen Memberships are available to anyone age 60 and over. • Memberships are non-transferable and non- refundable. • Memberships may be put on hold for medical reasons or for extended vacations of one month or longer. • Couple memberships are available for two individuals over 17 living in the same household.

Wallyball Court FeeWallyball brings the explosive fun of volleyball into the competitive closeness of the racquetball court. Great party game for up to 8 people!

General Tennis Class Information • Registration for tennis classes is on a fi rst-come, fi rst-served basis. Students or participants must pay the full price of an individual drill, lesson or clinic regardless of showing up late to a class or leaving early. • After a class reaches maximum capacity, pay per class students will not be accepted, unless approved by the tennis pro. • If a tennis student misses a class, he or she must make it up during the current session with tennis pro approval only. The missed class may not be carried over into a new session. • Please call for information regarding USTA Adult Leagues and Junior Tournaments and Women’s day time tennis.

All classes, regardless of age, are based upon ability and skill level.

PERMANENT COURT TIMERacquetball and Tennis court time may be reserved on a per-manent basis for three sessions per year by fi lling out a per-manent court time contract. When you reserve permanent court time you receive the following benefi ts: Reduced rate because you pay in advance for each session, we reduce the hourly rate by $1.00. Guaranteed reservation – you never need to call, just come in and play, your court is waiting. PCT goes on sale August 21, 2010 at 9 am for the Fall/Win-ter session.

HEALTH & FITNESS CLASSES

GROUP FITNESS CLASSESClasses are held in the Community Center Aerobics Studio for ages 14 & up. Children will not be allowed in the studio during classes. Drop-in fees are paid directly to the CCAC front desk prior to the start of class. Showers and lockers are available for use in the Athletic Club on the lower level.

1. Kid’s Korner service is available Monday through Friday, 9 am to 3 pm. For additional Kid’s Korner service informa-tion, see page 44.

2. Participants must register and sign a waiver prior to the fi rst day of the session.

3. Participants must bring their own fl oor mats to fi tness classes.

4. There will be no prorating of classes.

5. There is no “making up” of classes that are missed.

6. Cancellation policy: any group exercise class may be cancelled or altered due to low attendance.

7. If doing a drop in, a receipt must be given to the instruc-tor, before class, to participate.

TEENS! Intro to Fitness ClassThis three week class will cover fundamentals of exercise using the fi tness center equipment (does not include the weight room), get a workout while learning, and be tested to determine understanding of safety and proper use of equip-ment. The member will meet once a week either in a group or one-on-one. After successful completion of the exam, the member may work out during all operating hours of the fi t-ness center and will receive a certifi cate of completion (ages 11-13 require parental supervision).

Fee: $35 (per member in a group - minimum class size 3) / $105 (per member, one-on-one) 1 hour – meets once a week for three weeks. Day and time is scheduled with the trainer.Ages: 11-15 years

Fitness Testing & AssessmentYou’ve made a commitment to get in shape. A good way to get started is to have an assessment of your current fi tness level to determine your strengths and weaknesses. The fi tness test includes a cardiovascular assessment, muscular strength and endurance, fl exibility, body fat composition analysis, and blood pressure. If you workout consistently, have an assess-ment done every 6-8 weeks to see your progress and learn of any changes to improve your workout program.

Punch Card SystemPurchase a punch card at the Centre Court Athletic Club during regular hours of operation. Users must have a punch card on fi le or purchase one before using the Kid’s Korner. If you have an appointment and are unable to attend, you must call to cancel by 7 am the morning of your appointment or you will be charged for the reserved time. Participants must make appointments by calling the Centre Court Athletic Club 24 hours in advance. Staff will stay 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment. If you are running late, please call to insure your appointment. If you are a regular user of the Kid’s Korner, you may pre-book your reservation 2 weeks in advance.

Residents and Non Resident RatesA “resident” is defi ned as anyone living within the geographical boundaries of the Ha-nover Park Park District. Residents in Hanover Park Park District have priority for limited pro-grams. You may be required to pay the non-res-ident fee even though you live in Hanover Park because the boundaries of the village are not the same as the boundaries of the Park District. Non-residents may register for programs for a fee that is 50% percent higher than the resident fee or $15 over the resident fee, whichever is the smaller amount.

TransfersRequests must be made in person. A $5 fee will apply for most transfers. A $10 fee will apply for Preschool, After School Club, Before School Club and day camp programs.

Refund PolicyRefunds will not be granted for class(es) missed or forgotten. All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. Forms for re-funds are available at the Park District offi ce. Refunds requested for a program prior to the start of a class will be assessed a $5 fee. A re-quest for a refund after the program begins, but prior to the 2nd meeting, will also be assessed an additional prorated fee based upon the per class cost. NO refunds will be granted after the 2nd class with the exception of a written medi-cal excuse with the fee based on the prorated cost per class and the normal service fee. Re-funds for trips will not be given unless the trip is canceled by the Park District or a replace-ment is found to take the trip. A $10 refund fee applies for Preschool, After School Club, Before School Club, and day camp programs.

Photo PolicyThe Hanover Park Park District reserves the right to photograph or videotape participants in Park District programs, facilities or parks for the District's use.

Financial AssistanceThe Youth Activity Supplement Program (Y.A.P.), sponsored by the Village of Hanover Park offers residents who experience undue hardship, an opportunity to enroll their children in recreation programs. For more information call Gina Mastro-Strickler at (630)837-2468, Ext. 121.

AccessibilityThe Hanover Park Park District, Centre Court Athletic Club and all other facilities are ac-cessible and comply with A.D.A. standards. The elevator in the Community Centr is ac-cessible from all three levels and is available for public use.

Program Code of ConductTo ensure enjoyable and safe programs for all participants, the Hanover Park Park District has developed a behavior code. Participants shall:

• Show respect to all participants and staff

• Refrain from using foul language

• Refrain from causing bodily harm

• Show respect to equipment, supplies and facilities

Additional rules are developed for specifi c pro-grams as deemed necessary by staff. Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in removal from program or event without refund.
