It took 100 years to connect 1 billion places and 25 years to connect 5 billion people. Today over 90% ofthe world’s population has access to mobile communications, and the expectation is that by 2020 therewill be 50 billion connected devices. Everyone and everything everywhere will be connected in real time…it will be a networked society. Over the coming years, technology advances and information andcommunication infrastructure performance will rapidly increase.

In this new era of mobility, people will always be connected, whether it is to other people through smartphones, pads, or laptops, or to machines and devices in the world around them. Technology will enablepeople to interact, innovate and share knowledge in entirely different ways, creating a dynamic shift inmind set. It will also impact how people will work, sustain, interact, innovate, and learn.

Bina Chaurasia assumed the position as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer atEricsson on November 15, 2010.

Chaurasia has experience across different industries, including IT and retail. She joins Ericsson from HewlettPackard where she was the Vice President of Global Talent responsible for talent management, learningand development, executive development, diversity, and staffing globally. Chaurasia had been with HPsince 2007.

Chaurasia joined HP from Gap where she as the Vice President of Global Human Resources. She wasresponsible for driving HR strategy for the company and leading International and Corporate HR, worldwideSupply Chain and the Outlet and Online divisions. Chaurasia also held senior HR leadership roles at SunMicrosystems and PepsiCo/Yum.

Chaurasia holds a Master of Science in Management and Human Resources from the Ohio State Universityand a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin.

ames Gibbs is the senior vice president of Human Resources for the U.S. Pharmaceutical group at McKessonCorporation. In the role James oversees the development and implementation of human capital strategiesfor talent acquisition, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, workforce development andorganizational effectiveness.

James has been with McKesson since March 2012 and has over 15 years of Human Resources managementexperience. Prior to joining McKesson, James served

as senior vice president of Human Resources for ACE Cash Express. Previous to his time at ACE, he was aformer human resource and field operations executive at Frito-Lay North America and has also heldstrategic HR positions with DuPont, General Electric and Ford Motor Company.

James holds a Juris Doctorate from Ohio State University and brings a strong military background toMcKesson. During his nine year military career, he served as captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, stationedboth in the United States and abroad.

James lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, Maria and his three children - Jordan, Zackary and Danielle.

“INNOVATIONS IN STRATEGY EXECUTION AND CULTURE TRANSFORMATION”

Susan Burnett is the VP of Leadership Development at BTS where she is helping clients build the talentmanagement strategies they need to grow their people and grow the business. Susan’s 30 years of talentand organization development experience expand BTS’s ability to offer more senior business and leadershipdevelopment experiences that help organizations to turn their strategies into results.

Prior to BTS, Susan was the Senior Vice President of Talent and Organization Development at Yahoo!,accountable for all company learning and development, employee engagement, diversity, change, leadership,performance and succession management. At Yahoo! she grew career development satisfaction, leadershipcapabilities, and increased retention during a time of enormous change.

Before Yahoo!, Susan led Talent Development at Deloitte, including technical, industry, leadership, professionaland career development. At Deloitte, Susan led a new firm strategy for Talent Development, which resultedin a long-term commitment to develop and deliver customized, integrated, reality-based learning experiencesthat have produced market-leading capabilities for Deloitte. She led all aspects of classroom, learningtechnology, and learning space design for DU, a state-of-the art Learning Center which opened in 2011.

Susan came to Deloitte from Gap Inc. where she was the Senior Vice President and Chief Talent Officer. Atthe Gap she was accountable for Recruiting, Learning and Development, Succession, and OrganizationEffectiveness. Her organization built Merchant Academy, an industry leading program that took collegegraduates through a year-long process that produced high performing merchants and a pipeline for criticalcompany leadership roles. She built Gap’s first executive leadership pipeline, including developmentexperiences and a succession process that significantly reduced executive attrition and produced the nextgeneration of executives for the company’s critical roles: Brand President, Head Merchant and Head of Stores.

Prior to the Gap, Susan had a twenty-two year career at Hewlett-Packard Company where she held a variety ofhuman resource and line management roles. As the Vice President and CLO for HP’s Workforce Developmentand Organization Effectiveness, she brought together over 75 training and organization development teamsglobally into a new organization, with a new mission and set of strategies, a new structure, new funding model,new business metrics for success and an executive board of directors. She accelerated the integration of Compaqand HP by implementing a new “Fast Start” process that ensured 100% of the leadership teams met their “valuecapture goals”. She also created a simulation of the “new HP” so that over 500 senior leaders globally couldlearn the company’s new strategy, structure, product lines, global processes, metrics for success, and workclosely with the new executive committee. These efforts were credited as critical to the merger’s success.

Almost half of Susan’s HP career was in marketing, where she led a variety of global marketing services andsales support functions for the computer systems business: competitive analysis, the company’s executivebriefing center, global product introduction support, sales force tools, sales literature and communications.

Susan has a Bachelor of Arts from Simmons College in Boston and a Master's degree in Education fromColumbia University. She was an elected member to the ASTD Board of Directors from 1997-1999, led theStrategic Directions Sub-committee and was the chairman of the board in 2001. Susan is the author of acommentary on Executive Education for Harvard Business Review, 2003 and co-author of Hewlett-PackardTakes the Waste Out of Leadership for the Journal of Organizational Excellence, Autumn 2003. She is aregular speaker on leadership development and talent strategies that will accelerate business results.

Kevin M. Horan is Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Services at International Lease FinanceCorporation (ILFC).

Mr. Horan joined ILFC in March 2012. He is responsible for ILFC’s Human Resources and Corporate Services,including workforce management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and diversity andorganizational development. He also oversees ILFC’s Flight Operations, Communications, and Facilities.

Prior to ILFC, Mr. Horan served as Vice President, Human Resources for TechnoServe, an international non-profit focused on economic development and entrepreneurship initiatives aimed to support the poor indeveloping countries. He led the development of a global approach to Human Resources management andstreamlined processes in each of the 24 countries TechnoServe operates. Simultaneously, he served as anadjunct professor for Global Human Resources at Georgetown University.

Prior to TechnoServe, Mr. Horan spent 20 years in the aviation industry serving in various positions, includingManaging Director, Human Resources and Benefit Services at US Airways, where he was involved in the re-design of Human Resources during the merger between US Airways and America West Airlines. He alsoworked in various capacities in Human Resources and Operations at American Airlines, AMR Eagle, PanAmerican World Airways, and People Express Airlines.

Mr. Horan earned his MBA in International Human Resources from the University of Dallas and his B.A. fromDavidson College in Davidson, NC.

Daniel joined Polycom in February of 2012 as Vice President of Talent Management, Learning andDevelopment. In this role, he is responsible for building individual, team and organizational capabilities acrossthe globe in order to accelerate the company’s innovation and growth goals. Prior to joining Polycom, Daniel served as Vice President of Talent Management, Learning and Developmentat Hewlett Packard where he led the Talent organization supporting a 27,000 person/$25B division of thecompany. Previously, Daniel led the corporate Talent Management function at Raytheon, where he wasresponsible for building a talent pipeline across the enterprise. His worked was recognized externally byleading the first ever placement of the company on Fortunes, “Top Companies for Leaders” list.

Daniel also brings senior level experience from Bank of America as Vice President, Learning andOrganizational Effectiveness, and increasingly complex roles at Sun Microsystems, Click2Learn and MaxwellTechnologies.

He possesses over 20 years of professional experience and has served in global human resources roles forpublic, private and consulting companies throughout his career.

Daniel holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’sDegree in Sociology from Ithaca College.

He has lived in variety of locations in the US and has worked internationally where he was based in Sydney, Australia.Currently, he resides in San Jose, CA. He is an avid cyclist and has completed eight AIDS LifeCycle events – a 7-day,565 mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles supporting the fight against the global HIV/AIDS pandemic inaddition to other community activities.
