11th Anniversary of the Women’s Cup
Many people contributed to the success of the 2012 Sherco Womens Cup.
Special acknowledgement of Rob Black and Toby Coleman for their tremendous efforts in setting the sections.
Thanks also to Mick Rummery for his liaison work with property owner Russell Beckett.
A big thank you to Russell for his pre-event mowing of carpark, access tracks and camp site.
Thank you to all the Club members who came out the weekend before the trial and brought their whipper snippers and
secateurs.
A really wholehearted thank you, from all of us, to the following wonderful Observers.
Cheryl Bennett, Shannon Forrest, Bob McGlinchey, John Coetzer, Brian Connell, Tom Connell, Dave Johnson, James
Johnson, David Wynn, Dave Bingley, Mika Bostock, Alastair Farquhar, Annette Shipley, Bob Tindall, Don Murray, and
Tom Corley.
Sponsor Don Murray deserves a bit of extra recognition for his efforts in setting, and Observing, the popular water
section 9.
Once again the efforts of Bev Anderson cannot be overlooked. This event is her brainchild and this year, besides all the
normal input she has, Bev was good enough to arrange for First Aid support at very short notice. She then spent quite a
bit of time administering First Aid as well.
Thanks to Greg Williams, from Audio Solutions, for providing our two-way radios.
Thanks to David Wynn for sourcing our PA system.
Thanks to Brendan Nicholson for sourcing the generator that kept the PA, and the caterers, powered up over the
weekend.
Giselle Kermeen, ably assisted by Katelyn Boorer, provided their usual professional approach to maintaining the scoring
in the new van.
Race Secretary Wendy Bennett not only kept the scoreboards up to date, she also co-ordinated her teammates from the
Tuggeranong Hawks Womens Aussie Rules Club with the weekends catering.

Adam McGrath’s TY Project
Club Secretary David Ault’s updates
Motorcycling New South Wales circulate a (nearly weekly) email to all riders – usually on Fridays. It
goes by the title of Motorcycling NSW Development News and is sent from
[email protected] It lists events and changes and updates to various things like
the Officials Accreditations Scheme, upcoming seminars, and Coaching courses.
If you are not receiving this email, and would like to, please contact me (David Ault –
[email protected] ) and I will collate names & emails & send back to MNSW so you can get their
weekly updates.
................................................................................
Discussions are underway with the Fairburn Park Control Council and the ACT Motorcycling Club to
(temporarily in the first instance) use a part of their land to set up and ride Trials bikes. This area will
need some significant (but easy) clearing and groundwork to prepare areas for sections to be set.
In the short term, this will give and allow trials riders to ride and practice in a legal area. (Rangers are
clamping down on illegal off-road motorcycle activity). Many areas are now designated “off-limits”.
We envisage that this area in Fairburn will cater for all riders – but we are especially eager to entice
and welcome new / novice riders, children and C Grade. We are in discussions with ACTMAA etc
with the need for permits, officials and $ contributions to use this area. Perhaps also the use of
recreation ride permits. More info will be in the next newsletter – or see our facebook page: “Trials
Park for Canberra/ ACT” and get up to the minute news.
Besides clearing wild roses and vegetation etc, we will need to relocate rocks, boulders and waste
concrete slabs, as well as move some logs into the area. Mick Rummery is looking at what heavy
equipment we need to bring into the area to set up the bigger stuff.
If this arrangement proves a success, we can look at a developing this venue further.
Please call Mick Rummery - 0409 249 989; or myself - 6226 6266 to find more details.
..................................................................
Reminder: To find out the latest MNSW / MA information - visit their websites:
http://www.motorcycling.com.au/ ;
http://www.motorcycling.com.au/ MA also release a routine newsletter [email protected]
..................................................................
Several of us will get together soon to select dates & venues for future TCC Club days.
With the already scheduled activities during May, including Mother’s Day (13th) and the event at
Maldon (26&27), ... it is unlikely we will have Club pointscore round that month, although a practice/
rec ride day is possible. – Or maybe a working be at the Fairburn location.
David Johnson has put his hand up to have a Club day at his place Sunday 8 or 15 July (TBA) with
the view to section setting on the Saturday with bonfire in the evening with overnight camping.
Motorcycling NSW Has a New Facebook Page
As part of the communications strategy, Motorcycling NSW has a new Facebook page. This new page will be updated on
a regular basis providing information and updates regarding all areas of motorcycle racing in NSW.
The old Facebook page will be fazed out over the next month and will eventually close.
It is important that we get as many people ‘liking us’ as it will be a major source of communication within our
community.
Please click on the link below and ‘like’ our page.

TCC new Scorevan
Our new scorevan debued at the Womens Cup, attracting very positive comment from many in attendance.
Sam Bingley did the vast majority of the work, and the finished result is an absolute credit to him.
