Dear Parents/Carers,
2011 wil l be a big year for Immanuel!The above statement is a
definite and with it comes our desire to secure increased
commitment from our
parent/carer body in school decision making. We have made this
commitment a core strand of our current school
development plan 2011- 2013 (to be displayed at the front gate
for your reading and comments)
To best obtain your involvement and commitment to matters
affecting the school and its running we are starting off
2011 by asking for three further working groups of
parents/carers who will meet school leaders to discuss the
business
as follows: (meetings would be no longer than one hour)
1. Parental views on key financial decisions that we will need
to be taken ( l ikely to bemonthly for f irst half of year)
2. Parental views on how best to market the school in our local
community ( l ikely to betermly for 2011)
3. Parental views on the proposed redevelopment and improvement
of the Infant andEarly Years Playgrounds in 2011 and then the
Junior Playground in 2012 andonwards ( l ikely to be on no more
than three occasions in January, February & March)No particular
skills are needed to be part of either or all of the above working
parties, other than a willingness to meet
(in school hours of 9.00 a.m 3.30 p.m.) and a passion to commit
some of your time for the good of the school and
its children.
In the first instance it is proposed that each working party
will meet in January 2011 but the final date will be agreed
between the volunteer members (thats you!) and the allocated
school leaders.
If you could be available to help one of the working parties get
off the ground, please would you email me on the
contact details above or return the tear-off slip below to the
school office by Friday 17th
December.
