Welcome to the 58th annual Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair. I hope you can join us as we celebrate “Country Scenes and Children’s Dreams,” a theme that I believe is very relevant and reminiscent of the local community. As I sit down on this cool August summer evening to welcome you to this year’s fair, I can’t help but think how fortunate I am to live in a place full of beauty and rich agricultural land, a place where people enjoy helping others and a place full of tradition and history. Speaking of which, did you know that the Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair is the only district fair in this great nation that offers the public FREE ADMISSION, FREE PARKING and has a no-alcohol policy!

Fifty eight years ago the Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair was founded and developed on the principles of being a family ori-ented event where the surrounding communities could gather for socializing, entertainment, education and friendly competi-tion. Those founding principles have continued to play an inte-gral role in the fair’s purpose throughout the past fifty eight years because of the dedication of past and present fair board members, staff, exhibitors and fair patrons like yourself. We continue to strive to provide the public a low cost event that the whole family can enjoy and participate in with fellow com-munity members.

As you walk through the free admission gates September 10-13th I invite your family and friends to enjoy the many tradi-tional events and shows that the fair has became known for as well as some NEW ENTERTAINMENT we hope you will enjoy and help to enlighten your visit! This year’s fair will feature a wide array of new outdoor stage music including sounds from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. The new bands will include The Hot Rods Band, Life of the Eagles Tribute Band, and the Summer of Love 60’s Band. For the children, the Kids Pedal Tractor Pulls and a new carnival ride “The Drop Zone” will be debuting at this year’s fair! Ofcourse, some of the crowd favor-ites such as The All Alaskan Racing Pigs and Humphrey’s Farmyard Fun will be returning to energize the crowd again.

The board of directors and fair staff have worked extreme-ly hard to provide the public an enjoyable, friendly and enter-taining fun filled week! I would like to thank the board of directors, office staff and maintenance staff for their continued dedication as they strive for excellence throughout the year.

I look forward to seeing you all at this year’s Tulelake Butte Valley Fair while we celebrate “Country Scenes and Children’s Dreams” in the Basin!

Paul Maurer got started in the amusement busi-ness in 1971 as a solo game operator, playing numerous fairs and festivals through-out the West. Paul Maurer was known as one of the largest game concession-aires on the West Coast dur-ing that time frame. In 1984, after wanting to fulfill a life long dream, and saving his money earned from his game operation, he purchased his first amusement ride and formed "Paul Maurer Shows".

Today, Paul Maurer is the owner of over 33 spec-tacular, major and kiddy amusement rides and their attractions which includes our large selection of fun, family games and carnival food / cotton candy conces-sions.

Paul Maurer Shows is known for our unique, brightly-painted rides with their sparkling lights (that shine bright at night), our colorful three-toned canvas, aluminum framed games and food concessions. All

our employee's are required to undergo a background check using the "Califor-nia Department of Justice, Megan's Law" website and participate in the show's random drug & alcohol testing program. Our show's employees, from the man-agement to ride operators, are fully trained for the safe operation of our amuse-ment rides and attractions. Clean uniforms and personal hygiene are also top priority for the appearance of our staff and show. Our management staff is fully qualified to resolve any problem and is always onsite during the event and made available for any questions, complaints or concerns you may have.

Paul Maurer Shows is committed to provide a safe, clean, fun and family carni-val atmosphere and keeping those great family memories alive!!

Lanky's has the most energetic and colorful ground entertainment for your event. Over 25 years of clowning experience and a large variety of services make this company a source of comedy entertainment for your fair, festival, cor-porate event, and other amusement venues. Our characters have traveled the world to bring smiles and laughter to over 10 different countries.

The depth of Lanky's performances allow him to work a wide range of audiences from small children's events and family events to night club performances. Venues have ranged from county and state fairs and festivals across North America to International Fairs (Japan).

In addition, international goodwill clowning tours and church clowning are part of his dedication to the art. He has repeat-edly toured Russia and Guatemala, and has toured

Afghanistan and Cambodia as part of an International Coalition of Clowns put together by renowned Medical Doctor, Patch Adams - yes the same Patch from the famed movie. The

concept was to take the simple universal lan-guage of clowning to the children of that war torn country. Thousands of children were visited, many in hospitals and or-phanages. This tour was undertaken at great risk to the thirty or so clowns from around the world that took part in it. Most of the tour participants returned to their home counties feeling enriched for the opportunity. Any fair will be proud to be associated with someone that shares his gifts with the community . . . the world community. This

integrity is what you get when you engage this dedi-cated performer.

Lanky the Clown

Matt Burton’s river-boat gambler magic act is a feature for any audience close-up or stage. Artistic slight of hand, able to be appreciated from the small-est to the largest audience, combines a perfect blend of excitement, comedy and mystery.

Matt began his inter-est in magic after receiv-ing a magic kit for his 11th birthday. By the time he was fifteen, he was work-ing restaurants and doing kids parties. Over the last 20 years Matt has entertained as an “Honest Cheat” at thousands of private events and theatrical revues all over the West Coast. He also performed as the house “Maverick” for 9 seasons on the Sternwheeler cruise ship Queen of the West.

Currently Matt resides in the Pacific Northwest performing at fairs, cruise ships and corporate events and has won many awards in magic including a first in Excellence in Stage Magic from IBM #249, the 1999 Desmond Stage Magic Award and the PCAM 2000 Pro Challenge. He also won the 2003 Northwest Magic Jamboree stage magic contest and the senior stage magic contest and Brad Ja-cobs People’s Choice Award at the 2004 SAM National Convention in St. Louis.

Don’t gamble with your entertainment use an honest cheat.....

Matt the Maverick Burton.

“Comedy That Rocks”Spike McGuire

From his humble begin-nings in Reno, NV., Spike has always been destined to a life of performance. With torches and machetes in hand he took to the streets at the ripe old age of 14. After a year of developing a strong presence in the com-munity it wasn’t long before he took to the road joining the cast of Circus Smirkus, for their 2002 tour of New England. Of course he didn’t leave Reno without a bang; his final pre-tour appearance was along side such notables as Ron Lucas, Jeff Hobson and The Raspyni Broth-ers in Laughing Matters, an all-star variety show at the Pioneer Center for Performing Arts.

After completing the tour he returned home and picked up where he left off, provid-ing the feature entertainment at Circus Circus Hotel/Ca-sino for their New Years Eve celebration, leading a crowd of screaming fans in a count down to 2003. A year that would offer Spike more impressive credits to add to his list including; Ally Oop – Variety in motion at Wingfield Amphitheater, The Cascade of Stars in the Golden Phoenix Hotel/Casino show-room and a spot as the opening act for KC and the Sunshine Band.

With another year of experience under his belt and a diploma from I.C.D.A. Perform-

ing Arts high school, Spike took to the road again, this time impressing Californian audi-ences while providing pre-show entertainment for top names including WAR and The Village People. Being in such close proximity to home he was sure to visit Reno regularly where he could often be found emceeing events at Harrah’s Hotel/Casi-no for the Virg Summer Concert Series introducing national headliners such as Blue Oyster Cult, Survivor, and John Wait.

In the fall of 2004 Spike’s wanderlust set in again when he packed his bags for Chicago. Splitting his days between Columbia College (the largest performing arts college in the country) and the magnificent mile (the perfect forum for street performance), he is never a hard man to catch in perfor-mance. Whether it be on stage in legitimate theater, or while he is entertaining audiences on the streets with his unique ap-proach to physical comedy, he is always entertaining a public anxious to see what he is going to offer next.

When asked of what is a head Spike borrows a quote from Eric Idle saying “Of the future only one thing is certain, there will be comedy”.

Every country artist once had a “day job” that com-

monly used music business term for an occupation that pays the bills and fills the void between hopeful aspi-ration and bonafide success. However, never in the his-tory of country music has someone taken a more cele-

brated path on the road to their country music dream

than Julianne Hough (pro-nounced “Huff”).

A triple threat as a singer, actress and dancer, Julianne is already known to millions of fans as the two-time profes-sional dance champion on ABC-TV’s top-rated Dancing with the Stars (DWTS). The show, which pairs professional danc-

ers with music, sports, film and television celebrities, has become a cultural

phenomenon and Julianne its top star.

Though Julianne has been winning world dance titles since her early teens,

her ultimate goal has always been a career in country music. Her newly signed deal with Universal Music Group Nashville (UMGN) is providing her the vehicle to realize that dream. “I’ve always wanted to sing country music,” says the 19 year-old blonde. “I’ve grown up with country music. I love how real everybody is, not just the artists, but the fans.”

Growing up one of five Utah-born siblings, Julianne says her family

was sometimes referred to as the “blonde

Osmonds,” earning a reputation for

their talent and profess ional -ism. At age 10

her parents separated and Julianne immersed herself in dancing. An opportunity pre-sented itself to study performing arts in London, which started a period of intense training and being far away from family and in a fast-paced city, was forced to grow up fast.

After five years in the U.K., Julianne elected to leave behind a blossoming international career and move back to the U.S. “I really wanted to sing and I knew if I stayed in London, I wouldn’t be able to do that; I would only be dancing, so I had to make a really tough decision: ‘Do I stay here and pursue a career that I know I’m going to succeed at? Or do I go back home, start from scratch and pursue what I really want to do?’ A lot of people told me that I was crazy and that I’d never make it.”

Talent, discipline and deter-mination are a potent combina-tion that generally prove skep-tics wrong, and that’s exactly what Julianne did. She moved to Los Angeles, knowing she could earn her living as a dancer while pursuing her musical dreams.

She started making regular trips to Nashville in the rare time

she had off from the TV show and the DWTS tour. Her Los Angeles manage-ment firm introduced her to management in Nashville, which led to her meeting veteran producer David Malloy (Eddie Rabbitt, Reba McEntire). The two teamed to record “Will You Dance With Me” for an American Red Cross fund raising project that benefited Kansas tornado victims. “It was so amazing,” said Julianne. “We released the record to iTunes and Wal-Mart the week I won with Apolo. The song received quite a reaction on iTunes and peaked at #8 on their country charts despite never being released to radio.”

Soon after, Julianne landed a deal with UMGN and a spot on the Mercury Nashville roster, a fitting home for a newcomer who cites McEntire and Shania Twain as her chief influenc-es, both of which fall under UMGN.

Recorded in Nashville and produced by Malloy, Julianne’s debut disc reveals her appreciation for country music’s roots as well as her fresh-faced contributions to the genre’s future.

She has a warm, textured voice that is equally suited to feisty up-tempo tunes and contemplative ballads, both of which can be found on her debut. “I love story songs and message songs,” she says, “but I also love quirky, fun, up-tempo songs that make you want to just get up and move.”

The debut single, “That Song In My Head,” is a buoyant effort that is incred-ibly infectious. The song captures the rapturous joy of a burgeoning relationship and celebrates the way a song can become the soundtrack for those emo-tions. Julianne’s voice per-fectly conveys the sense of delicious expectation in the lyric.

Julianne turns in a sul-try performance on the sen-sual ballad “Hide Your Matches.” “The chorus is ‘I’m about to lose all I am, right here in your arms.’ It’s a romantic love song that is really sexy,” she says. “It’s really sen-sual and beautiful.”

Though she loves songs that evoke a smile, a sigh or an occasion-

al dance step, Julianne doesn’t shy away from mak-ing music that says some-thing profound. Among the favorites on her debut is a song called “Help Me, Help You.” “That’s a message song and it’s pretty intense,” she says. “It’s about a girl who is trying to help her friend who is an alcoholic. It says what I’d want to say to a friend in trouble.”

One of the songs on her new record speaks directly to young women. “’Jimmy Ray McGee’ is a really great song,” Julianne relates. “It talks about peer pressure and tells young girls ‘If you don’t want to do something, if you don’t feel right about it, then don’t do it!’”

‘“My Hallelujah Song’ is a Craig Wiseman tune,” says

Julianne, “and I just feel like everybody needs a hallelu-jah song. No matter what you’re doing in life---wheth-er you are working at your dad’s company, playing soc-cer or being a little ballerina---that’s your hallelujah song. It’s when you feel like you’re right where you’re sup-posed to be and I’m happy right where I am.”

Indeed, Julianne Hough is living her hallelujah song. After years of success in the dance field, she’s finally landed an opportunity to sing country music and she’s reveling in the oppor-tunity. “I was scared that people would say, ‘Just because she got a little bit of recognition on the TV show, she thinks she can make a record,’” she confesses, “but I’ve been wanting to do this a long, long time and I hope the music speaks for itself.”

Indeed it does. Julianne Hough’s debut

is a compelling collec-tion of songs about the joys and challenges of everyday life deliv-ered by an evocative

young voice. It’s the perfect vehicle to carry her from her successful day job to the realization of a dream come true.

for our lives and for the generations who followed. The amazing vocals of the early California Beach Boys

in early 1964 with “I want to hold your hand” had us allgrowing our hair and rushing out to by miniskirts and go-go bootsas many other English groups continued to rock the music scene.

The hippies of San Francisco Haight-Ashbury daysspoke to the world of peace, hapiness, flowers adn free love

while thousands of similar free spirits on the East Coastgathered together in a little town they called Woodstock.

The motown sound rocked Detroitand Music was indeed the king that united a nation.

There has never been any question thatmusic was at it’s best from 1963 to 1969.

Tuff Truck racing is an exciting off-road racing event consisting of modified trucks (and some-times stock trucks for fun) going around a Motocross-style course filled with different jumps, bumps and turns. Similar events held in indoor arenas are called Pro Arena Truck racing. Trucks are usually run one at a time, with the quickest time winning. Sometimes events feature trucks two at a time for added spec-tacle. Tuff Truck racing is usually seen at Monster Truck or other Motorsports events. Tuff Trucks are usually pickup trucks that have been upgraded to resist the rigors of the arena unpaved track.

Freestyle Motocross (FMx) is a the incredible evolution of moto-cross racing in which motorcycle riders attempt to impress judges (and the crowds) with hair-

raising jumps and stunts. Riders display their jumps - usually covering more than 60 feet - from a dirt-covered ramp. Riders dem-onstrate their abilities by looking for difficult tricks and variations over jumps. FMX riders typically use much of the same riding gear as MX racers including a helmet,

goggles, gloves, boots, jersey and MX pants often elbow and knee pads. Riders may also choose to wear 'body armor' to protect the chest and legs when performing the most dangerous of tricks.Riders use modified motocross bikes with after market parts to lower weight and improve per-formance. Riders will often shave down the seat foam and add steering stabilizers. Many riders will also shorten the width of the handle bars, to make it easier to put the legs around the bars. Excess cables, such as brakes and clutch cables are usually redirected away from the bars, to avoid riders getting their boots caught on the bike. The engine and mechanical details of a FMX bike are generally stock.

A Monster Truck Show as we know it today was born in 1982 at the Pontiac Silverdome when Bob Chandler driving BigFoot (the original Monster Truck) drove over a pile of cars in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Usual-ly, a monster truck show involves the truck crushing smaller vehi-cles beneath its huge tires. These trucks can run up and over most man-made obstacles. A monster truck is a vehicle, typically styled after pickup trucks, sports cars or

classic and themed automobiles modified or intentionally built with large / heavy wheels and heavy duty suspension. They compete as well as ex-hibit at popular Motorsports Entertainment and can be seen featured alongside Motocross

races, mud bogging, tractor pulls and tansformers. In recent years, many monster truck competi-tions include a "freestyle" event. Similar to free style motorcross with giant trucks, drivers are free to select their own course around the track and its obstacles. Driv-ers will often perform a power 'Donut', also called a Cyclone, spinning the truck in a high speed circle. This is one of the most exciting motorsports events for the entire family.

Leonard Will Named 2009 Farmer & Rancher of the Year

The Tulelake Butte Val-ley Fair will be honoring Leonard Will as the 2009 Farmer & Rancher of the year during the Farmer’s & Rancher’s Appreciation Dinner. Leonard has played a very influential role in the Klamath Basin throughout his life while being involved in production agriculture and serving in a wide vari-ety of community oriented groups.

Leonard was raised on a 70 acre farm on Grand Island near Dayton, Oregon. His family raised pears, cherries and peaches for the local canneries and Portland market. The family also kept half a few dairy cows, a couple of pigs to eat the skim milk, chickens and raised a large garden (at the time of the depression).

During WWII, Leonard served 3 years in the Navy and met his wife Iva Jane who was in Cadet Nurses’ training. The married in 1946 in Merrill, OR and began their life together in the Klamath Basin.

Leonard and Iva Jane farmed for two years with his folks on the Grand Island until the spring of 1948, when Iva Jane’s father, Luther J. Haskins, thought they should be ranchers here in the Basin. So they moved down. The ranch didn’t happen the first year but they farmed grain, potatoes and clover with her father and two broth-ers, Laverne and Doyle in 1948. That winter was very memorable to both of them as it was 30 below with 5 foot wind drifts.

On February 15, 1949,

the third opening of home-steads for WWII vets was held at the American Legion Hall in Tulelake. With 5,000 applications they attended the drawing without much hope. They were drawn

78th and chose 130 acres bordering the Oregon State line just south of Malin (the old shoreline of Tulelake – Sagebrush, Salt grass, and alkali.)

They began leveling (38,000 cubic yards moved), ripping36”-40”, land plan-ning, tilling, boarding, ditching and then planting of pasture, hay and 10 acres of potatoes. The first year they got marginal results. They began to work into cattle, sheep, hay and grain, phasing out potatoes after 15 years.

In the mid 50’s they added two more homestead units and in ’62 a unit south of Merrill on the Oregon side of the state line.

Besides raising hay,

grain, pasture, sheep, and cattle for 36 years in the basin they raised 3 children: Greg, Wade, and Janelle. In January of 1987 Leonard & Iva Jane turned two home-stead units over to Wade

and retired to a one acre mini farm in Klamath Falls. They have kept busy with the mini farm and lots of volunteering.

Leonard served 25 years on the Newell Pest Abate-ment Board, 25+ years with the Basin Wool Pool (ship-ping up to 15,000 fleeces per year from the Basin), also Basin Sheep Producer, 20 years of service from 1967-1987 on the Tulelake-Butte Valley Fairboard with three different managers: Bill Whittaker, Mark Reed, and Ralph Morrill, about 30 years in the Tulelake Rotary, 16 years with O.S.U. Master Gardner program in Klamath Falls, and 4 years with the Tulelake Growers Association, and they have

been members of the Malin and Klamath Presbyterian Church all these years.

“So now that we and our old friends are getting older and we are mostly has beens. We appreciate the opportunities we have had in being a part of this Basin for 60+ years and seeing the changes made in that time by 216 WWII vets. We had a great opportunity of making the old Tulelake Basin into the productive farm land it is today,” said Leonard.

The Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair is privileged to honor Leonard Will as the Farmer & Rancher of the Year. The contributions that he has provided the fair and the Klamath Basin in the past and continues to do so have and always will be memorable and greatly appreciated.

The Farmers & Ranch-ers Appreciation Day was developed in 2006 to recog-nize the efforts of farmers and ranchers in the Klamath Basin that have gone above and beyond their duty to serve their community and provide leadership in the agricultural industry. For-mer recipients include 2006 Staunton Farms, 2007 Rob-ert A. Byrne Co, 2008 Por-terfield Ranch. The event is sponsored by Floyd A Boyd, JW Kerns Irrigation, Sierra Cascade Nursery, Lithia Klamath Falls Auto Center, Alsco, American Ag Credit, Stateline Auto Parts, Monte Johnson Insurance Services and Winema Elevators.

Helping agriculture feed the world with fertilizers and crop protection solutions.

Agriculture is misunderstood of late. Most Americans or news organizations don’t question the myriad of vitamins and drugs sold to improve the overall health of today’s society. But high yield agriculture is continually under attack from a wide range of groups. The truth is, the high yield farming that includes fertilizers and agri-chemicals (farmaceuticals) in this country help feed a growing world that is demanding a better diet. The U.S. is the world’s leading food exporter, shipping out more than $35.3 billion of food exports. Without American food surpluses for oversea’s markets, just imagine how many more acres the rest of the world would have to farm. Acres that are now in forests, wetlands, rain forests, preserves...the world’ underpriveliged will demand to be fed!

We use soil and tissue analysis, crop consultation, and precision application techniques to help you. Call Bob, Chris, Bill, Gene, James, Ryan, Johnny and the crew to help you with custom fertilizer, pesticide and seeding applications!

4th Annual Farmers & Ranchers Appreciation Day

The Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair will be featuring the “4th Annual Farmers & Ranchers Appreciation Day” at the 2009 Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair. Last year, at the 3rd annual Farmers & Ranchers Appreciation Day Greg Addington of the Klamath Water Users Association presented Porterfield Ranchwith the Farmer & Rancher of the year award as area agriculturalists enjoyed good company and a complimentary dinner. The event will take place on Thursday, September 10th beginning at 6:30p.m. The event was developed to recognize the efforts put forth by local farmers and ranchers and show them our appreciation of

their services and hours of hard work. Without the support of local businesses, this event could not

have been organized and developed. The Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair would like to give a special thanks

to the sponsors whose contributions made this event possible.

Buying an animal at the Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair

benefits the entire community, and it’s a fun thing to do. By purchasing an animal you not only help the Rotary Club, but you are supporting the months long work of a 4-H or FFA member.

Those kids sweat, get up early in the morning and stay up late at night to produce a fine-looking animal by the time the fair rolls around.

Buying an animal at the auctions means you’re sup-porting a good cause and put-ting tasty food in the freezer.

For first-timers the experi-ence can seem a little intimi-dated because they’ve never bought at an auction before.

After reading this article, you’ll realize there is no rea-son not to participate because buying a fair animal it as easy as falling off a log.

The Auction will be held Sunday at 2 pm at Jock’s Sale Pavilion.

The grounds will be much quieter Sunday, so just follow everyone else to the pavilion.

Get there a little early and look for the table outside the pavilion, it will have a buyer’s card for you to fill out, and people will be there to assist you. You can fill the card out either for yourself or you com-pany. Filling out a card does not mean you have to buy and animal once the auction begins.

After you fill out the card you will receive a number

to be used to bid with. This allows those running the auction to know who the final bidder is and already have you information down.

After that, you just need to watch what’s going on and decide whichanimal you want to bid on. Many people arrive about and hour early to view the animals in the barns before the auctions to make their choices.

There will be an auction-eer in the ring plus a number of people spotting, or watch-ing for people to bid. When you feel you want to bid, just hold up you hand with your number in it and someone will see it. Once you’ve bid pay attention to the spotter to see if he acknowledges you bid. If the auctioneer took you r bid, you will know, as he will be looking to see if anyone else bids more. If the spotter starts looking to you again, someone else has upped your bid and he will be looking to see if you

want to go higher.Contrary to popular be-

lief, you will not unknowingly bid on an animal by inadver-tently scratching you arm or sneezing.

The first time you bid you many need to make sure a spotter sees you, but after that they will watch you closely

and make sure they have you bid if you bid again.

Animals are sold in descending order of their judging results.

The Grand Champion is the first, etc. If you are new to the auctions, you prob-ably won’t want to bid on the

grand champion, as they will go for big bucks. This will give you a few minutes to get used to how the auction is going.

I can’t stress this enough, this is the easiest thing in the world. The auctioneer and spotters are there to help the Rotary Club and the kids get their animals sold and they do a wonderful job of it.

Expect to pay about $1.50-$2a pound for a beef which will weigh between 950-1350 pounds. Sheep will go for around $5-$6 dollars a pound and will weight between 95-135 pounds. Swine will go for around $3-$4 a pound and weigh between 195-255 pounds.

“We average a little more money here than the Klam-ath Falls auction.” Bridget

Luscombe said. “Our prices don’t drop off as much down the line.”

After you have purchased you animal, you ware not quite done. All animals go to a designated slaughter house but you need to choose where it will be processed.

If you don’t have a certain place, don’t worry, the people handling the sale can tell you which ones are available and help you select the one that is most convenient for you.

You are almost finished; you now have to pay for your animal, which can be done either by check or credit card.

In a few days you will be able to pick up your meat, cut and wrapped just the way you want it.

You will definitely enjoy eating the meat you’ve pur-chased. It is always a little sweeter knowing you’ve helped out a very deserving student.

Like I said, it’s easy as falling off a log. So to the vets and the auction rookies, come on out and have fun, it’s for a good cause, and it’ll fill you freezer up with enough beef, swine, or sheep to lat you well into the winter. Results from the 2008 Rotary Livestock Auction

More than $190,000.00 went to 4-H and FFA livestock exhibitors at the 2007 Tulelake Rotary Club’s Junior Live-stock Auction at the Tulelake Butte Valley Fair.

Michelle Rupert’s Grand Champion lamb was pur-chased by Jocks Supermar-ket for $15/pound. Ethan Herman’s Reserve Champion lamb was purchased by South Valley Bank & Trust along with South Valley Wealth Management for $13/pound.

Zane Burrier had the Grand Champion Steer that was purchased by Lassen Canyon Nursery for $3.45/pound. Dillan Farnam had the Reserve Champion Steer was purchased by Pacific West Nurseries for $4.25/pound.
