Meeting Report 24 march 2006 A technical meeting was held on 24 March 2006 at SINTEF IKT in Trondheim. There were 17 people in attendance in addition to Prof. Gevorgian. The meeting began at 10:00 with a lecture by Prof. Spartak Gevorgian from Chalmers Univ of Technology in Gøteborg Sweden. He gave an overview of ferroelectric technology and applications to microwave circuits. From 11:00 to 12:00 Prof. Thomas Tybell from NTNU spoke about fabrication possibilities for ferroelectric thin-films in Norway and capabilities for characterizing the films. SINTEF treated everyone to a very nice lunch. From 13:00 – 14:00, Frode Tyholdt talked about the fabrication facilities in the Micro- and Nano Lab (or “MiNaLab”) in Oslo. Much of the production concerns mechanical actuators based on piezoelectric MEMS structures. From 14:00 – 16:00 Prof. Gevorgian gave a more detailed description of microwave ferroelectric devices. This was a more open discussion with a lot of audience participation. The meeting ended at 16:00 as planned. Three participants continued the discussion over a few half-liters at the Nabo bar in Trondheim.

A technical meeting was held on 24 March 2006 at SINTEF IKT in Trondheim.

There were 17 people in attendance in addition to Prof. Gevorgian.

The meeting began at 10:00 with a lecture by Prof. Spartak Gevorgian from Chalmers

Univ of Technology in Gøteborg Sweden. He gave an overview of ferroelectric

technology and applications to microwave circuits.

From 11:00 to 12:00 Prof. Thomas Tybell from NTNU spoke about fabrication

possibilities for ferroelectric thin-films in Norway and capabilities for characterizing

the films.

SINTEF treated everyone to a very nice lunch.

From 13:00 – 14:00, Frode Tyholdt talked about the fabrication facilities in the

Micro- and Nano Lab (or “MiNaLab”) in Oslo. Much of the production concerns

mechanical actuators based on piezoelectric MEMS structures.

From 14:00 – 16:00 Prof. Gevorgian gave a more detailed description of microwave

ferroelectric devices. This was a more open discussion with a lot of audience
