The Columns which support the sky or "The Temple of Venus“

Since the dawn of the human existence the following questions remain.

Who and how the world was created? The Earth, the Sun? The stars? What does support the Earth? Who and how created the man? The plants? What comes after the death? Questions about the creation of the world, man and nature, life and death.

Over the centuries, the answers are different, but the questions are the same .The more remoted in time they are, the answer is closer to the legends and myths . And they become more exciting and poetic .But there is one question that the human forgot to ask.Maybe because everyone knows the answer.Or because over the centuries the answer is the same? .Or because there is no answer to this question?

The response is associated with the sense of life, with the hope, the desire for life.Question: What does support the sky ?I am neither competent enough nor sufficiently confident in words to answer this question!Therefore I suggest a plastic response to this question. My plastic composition (or a sculpture installation) is called " The columns which support the sky or the Temple of Venus" . This is suppose to give my answer to the question : What does support the sky?

Biography: Born in 1954 in Sofia. In 1981 he graduated the National Art Academy in Sofia. He has made 19 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad. He has participated in numerous general exhibitions and symposums.Awards: 2011 Award of the "Vassilevi Brothers" for "The Wall" -painting,                        Salon 2011 Icarus Award 2003 for the most successful exhibition 1998 UBA Award for sculpture at the exhibition for drawing and small sculpture 1987 Award for the series "Venus", VII International Biennial of Small Sculpture, Budapest 1985 Award for sculpture for the work “The Smack Down” of the idols, VII National Youth Exhibition

Accompanying the exhibition will be famous sculptures of bulls and horses to the artist for more retrospective.
