It is the First Ibero-American Congress to bring together the best national and international organizations within the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry that today are the leaders for technology development and innovation. The main purpose is to gather multi-industry professionals by offering them an unique space for exhibition, sharing and exchange of the newest ideas, concepts, methodologies and processes that are becoming the future AEC Industry trends.

In May 2014, this event was the starting point for collaboration between BIM experts and top leaders in the Engineering, Architecture and Construction Industry. Showing an overall view of the present and future plans regarding the different working methodologies and processes that were related with BIM use in Mexico. This 1st event was hosted by the Instituto Politecnico Nacional in the Escuela Superior de Ingenieria y Arquitectura.

At November on the same year, the 2nd BIMx Forum was hosted by the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Mexico City campus. Dedicated to the evolving of Building Information Modeling in Mexico through the biggest design, managing and construction companies. It served to empathize the achievements and the future challenge in the field at National Level.

The 3rd BIMx Forum took place in the Camara Mexicana de la Industria de la Construccion, (CMIC) at Jalisco Chapter in August 2015. The main topic was the use and application of Building Information Modeling methodologies, implementation and training processes through all the project life cycle.

During the development of the forums, we had the support and the participation of software development companies, architecture and engineering firms, management and building companies, as well as other institutions linked to the AEC industry.
