I am searching for information on John and Cecelia (Garner) Perkins from Liberty, Indiana. He was born Nov. 1858. He died in 1940. He has a brother named Ambrose Perkins (died 1930) and his wife was Minnie Myrtle Perkins (d.in 1947) If you have any info on that line I would apprectiate it also.

////////////////I hope this is a connection to your group! My gg-grandfather Francis or Frank Perkins lived in Liberty, Ind. His sons were John Perkins and Thomas Perkins and one of his daughters was Mary Cecelia Perkins, who was born in Liberty, Ind. 1860. Thomas married Minnie Marie Barnett and their oldest son was Frank Ambrose Perkins.

/////////////////////////Ambrose S. Perkins, 1789-1859. wife Annabella McPherson He had a daughter, Annabella, who married Jesse Pickard (Picard).

Their daughter was Mary Jane Pickard, and she married, Frederick Lyman Talcott (1843-1912).Mary Jane Pickard was named for Mary Jane Perkins, sister of Annabella (Perkins) Pickard.

In her will, that Mary Jane mentions kin named Pickard, Belknap & Talcott.

/////////////////////////////////On December 27, 1876 Joshua Frye Perkins married Highly Perkins,  the daughter of Joshua Carter Perkins, and Sarah COOPER Perkins Joshua Carter Perkins and Joshua Frye Perkins were not only father-in-law and son-in-law but they were also first cousins.  They shared the same East Tennessee-West North Carolina "roots" and ancestry.  Their fathers, Joseph and Amos Perkins were brothers, and  were both the sons of

Jacob and Nancy Ann (Graves) Perkins of East Tennessee. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////Joshua Frye Perkins parents were Amos Perkins who died in Kentucky and Elizabeth Pierce Perkins.

Joshua Frye Perkins, and Highly Perkins were married in 1876, and the 1880 US Census shows them living in Hall County, with their two young children, Claud and Hannah.

Also, his mother, Nancy (Pierce) Perkins, widow of Amos Perkins is enumerated in that same census.

Joshua Frye's siblings were: Sarah Perkins Sarah was born in Yancey, NC in 1830 and she died after 1864,,

Sarah Perkins married William A. Taulbee, 25 April 1853, in Morgan County, KY. Rebecca Taulbee (1854), James Samuel Henry Taulbee (1856), Tildanna Taulbee, December 1857, and Emma Taulbee (1859). Her husband, William A. Taulbee remarried, and he died 7 March 1913, in Sharpsburg, Bath, KY1. William Taulbee was born July 6, 1829 and died March 5, 1913 in Bath County, Kentucky. He married twice:

(1) Sarah Perkins  She and William were known to be in Montgomery County, Ky in 1860. (Ref. Rose Taulbee's Family History); (2) Isabelle Bradford. Isabelle was born about 1830 and died July 7, 1916.
