Parent-Teacher Conferences It was wonderful to meet so many of the parents at our parent-teacher

conferences in the last couple of weeks. If you were unable to make it to the

meeting at that time, please contact your children's teachers to make an ap-

pointment for a time that suits you.

ၿပးခေသာသတငးပါတ မဘဆရာအစညးအေ၀းတြင မဘမားေၿမာကမားစြာ တကေရာကလာ သညက ေတြ႔ရရသညအတြက ၀မးေၿမာကမပါသည။ အစညးအေ၀းပြက မတကေရာကခရေသာ မဘမားအေနၿဖင မမကေလး၏ သကဆငရာ ဆရာဆသ႕ ဆကသြယ၍ အဆငေျပႏငမညအခနက ရကခနးယ ေတြ႕ဆႏငပါသည။

Last Day of Term 1

Friday 3rd October is the last day of Term 1, so will be a half-day only.

Books in Myanmar language for donation to Myanmar schools

Past - Last year, after the Fundraising day, the students voted to use the money they had raised to publish books in Myanmar language to donate to Myanmar schools. It took a long time for the books to be written, illustrated and published. Finally 1000 copies of each of 10 books were delivered to our school. The student council then made the decision to sell some of this first batch of books at a significant profit. The money thus raised to be used to publish even more copies of the books. Present - Teacher Kyaw Lin Thu and Min Khant (Year 9) are now planning for the distri-bution of the books to local schools. Students and teachers are again writing books in Myanmar language, suitable for very young readers. Future - The books will be distributed as planned. Next term we will again have a Fund-raising Day and the money raised will go towards having even more books published.

ယခင - ၿပးခသညႏစ၏ Fundraising Day အၿပးတြင ေကာငးသား/သမား raised လပထားေသာအလေငြမားနင ျမနမာဘာသာႏင ေရးသားထားေသာစာအပထတလပ၍ ျမနမာေကာငးမားသ႕လဒါနးရန ဆးျဖတခၾကပါသည။ စာအပ တစအပၿဖစေၿမာကရန အတြက ေရးသားၿခငး၊ တညးျဖတၿခငး၊ ထတလပၿခငးသည အခနအေတာၾကာျမငပါသည။ သ႕ေသာလညး ေနာကဆးတြင စာအပ ၁၀ အပအား မတ ၁၀၀၀ စႏင ေကာငး သ႕ ေရာကရလာခပါသည။ Student Council မ Significant Profit အတြက ၄ငးစာအပမား ထမ တစခ႕က ေရာငးခရနအတြက ဆးျဖတခၿပး ထမရရလာေသာ ပကဆမား ၿဖင ေနာကထပ စာအပမားကလညး ထပမထတေဝသြားမည ၿဖစပါသည။ လကရ - ဆရာေကာလငးသႏင မငးခန႕ (Year 9) တ႔သည ၿမနမာေကာငးမားအား ထစာအပမားက ျဖန႔ေ၀ရနအတြကအစအစဥမား ျပလပေနပါသည။ ေကာငးသား/သမားႏင ဆရာ/ဆရာမမားမ ကေလးသငယမားႏင သငေလာမည ျမနမာဘာသာျဖင ေနာကထပ စာအပမားက ေရးသားေနၾကၿပၿဖစပါသည။ ဆကလကၿပး - စာအပမားကစစဥထားသညအတငး ျဖန႔ေ၀သြားမညၿဖစပါသည။ ေနာငလာ မည စာသငႏစမားတြငလညး Fundraising day မ ရရလာေသာ ပကဆမားၿဖင စာအပမား အား ထပမထတေ၀သြားဥးမာလညး ျဖစပါသည။

Children in Foundation one have been learning the rhyme `Bingo’.

They also talked about colour and pattern. They enjoyed playing the

`Doggy Doggy where’s your bone?’ game. They are learning to count

the dots on the dice and counting bones. They have created some

lovely art work such as dog pictures out of shapes. This week’s rhyme is

` A sailor went to sea, sea, sea’.

Foundation 1 မကေလးမားက `Bingo’ ကဗာေလးက သငယေနခၾကပါသည။ အေရာငႏင အဆငပစမား အေၾကာငးက ေျပာဆခၾကပါသည။ `Doggy Doggy မငးရ႕အရးဘယမာလ? ’ ကစားနညးက ႏစသကခၾကပါသည။ အရးမားႏင အစာတးေပၚမ အစကကေလးမားကလညး ေရတြကခၾကပါသည။ ပသ႑ာနအမးမးက အသးျပ၍ ေခြးရပပေလးမားကဖနတးခၾကသညမာ အလြနႏစသကဖြယ ေကာငးလပါသည။ ယခသတငးပတတြင သငယေနၾကသညကဗာမာ `A sailor went to sea, sea, sea ’ ျဖစပါသည။

The F2 children have continued working around the rhyme `Humpty Dumpty ‘,

writing `Get well’ cards to Humpty as he is in hospital recovering from his fall.

The children have also made egg sandwiches.

They have started to learn the rhyme `Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’ and the

names of body parts.

F2 children have also been making 3D collage fish and underwater pictures.

Foundation 2 မ ကေလးမားက `Humpty Dumpty’ ကဗာႏင ပတသကေသာ အေၾကာငး အရာမားက ဆကလကသငယေနၾကပါသည။ တတငးေပၚမ ျပတကၿပး ေဆးရေရာကေနေသာ ‘Humpty’ အတြက အျမနဆးေနျပနေကာငးေစရန ဆေတာငးစာမားကလညး ေရးသားခၾက ပါသည။ ၾကကဥညပ ေပါငမန႔ မားကလညး ျပလပခၾကပါသည။ `Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’ ကဗာက စတငသငယေနၾကၿပးလင ကယခႏၶာ
