Sub:- To incorporate activities under Swuchh Bharat Mission in Youth Parliament.

As we all know that Swachh Bharat Mission is the flagship program of Govt. of India initiated by our PrimeMinister to fulfill Mahatama Gandhi's dream of clean and hygienic India.

In order to drive maximum benefit from this program it has been decided that our students be made awareabout the Swachh Bharat Mission. Therefore, please find enclosed herewith a letter No. 2/412016-A&r fromJointSecretary, Ministry of Pari iamentary Affairs.

All the Heads of Govt. Schools under Directorate of Education are directed to go through the letter andincorporate the activities in the Youth Parliament Competitions.

Further all the HOS are directed to ensure that the evaluation of pcrfonnance of the schools will held as perschedule enclosed. The timing will be scheduled for the commencement of the competition at 10:30 A.M formorning shift and 2:20 P.M for evening shift schools.

The schools will forward re-imbursement claim for expenditure up to Rs. 2000/- incurred throughrespective Zone to Ministry of Parliament Affairs, 87. Parliament House, New Delhi-H 0001 directly.

Dr. Praveen Kumar who is an OSD to Hon'ble Dy. C.M will be replaced by Ms. Zareen Taz, DOE who inaddition to the work of Dr. Praveen Kumar will also monitor the whole programme and Ms. S.c. Chauhan has beentransferred and is declared HOS so Ms. Sunita Bhargav, (OSD Inspection) will look after the work of Ms. S.c.Chauhan.

2. In order to derive maximum benefit from this programme, it is important thatour student community must know and be aware of the mission. So, to initiate ourstudents towards'tJiis mission, it has been decided to incorporate following activitiesin the Youth Parliament Competitions:-

(i) Every participating School may organize the pledge taking ceremony onSwachhta Campaign before the start of the Youth Parliament Session.

(ii) Every participating School may spread the message of Cleanliness by using ~"1banners/. posters/ backdrops on Swachhta Abhiyan of the Governmentdurinl..:gthe 'youth Parliament Session. "1 ":' '

(iv) Conducting cleaning programme in and around the School and exhibitingthe same through the photographs during the Youth Parliament Sessionfor promoting the Swachhta Abhiyan of the Government.

3· It is mandatory for every participating School to carry out the above activities.':which will be monitored through the action taken report required to be sent by theSchools to this Ministry. Each participating School will be reimbursed the amount ofRs 2006/ - for carrying out the above activities.-: ;1.:
