St. Agnes works with Zelle

for online church contributions

For the past few years, St. Agnes has worked with WeShare for online contributions. A new option is Zelle, which many parishioners might be familiar with. Zelle is accepted by major banks (including Wells Fargo, US Bank, Citibank, Chase, CapitalOne, and Bank of America, to name but a few) and is known for their easy platform for paying and receiving money. Zelle also offers reoccurring payments as an option. Simply go to Zellepay.com to get started. The email associated with Zelle for church contributions is: [email protected] Can I access Zelle to send or receive money without a

smartphone? If your bank or credit union offers Zelle, you may be able to use their online banking site to send and receive money without a mobile device. If your bank or credit union does not offer Zelle, then you must have a smartphone in order to access the Zelle app to send and receive money. Source: Zellepay.com

Please give $20… This Lent, we ask you to please consider putting $20 in the collection basket and continue to do so whenever you can throughout the Lenten season. This would go a long way in helping us with our yearly deficit of $300,000. We have heard from parishioners who have increased their contributions that it didn’t affect their budget. Remember that you can donate online, too, through Zelle, using our email address: [email protected] or you can donate through Venmo, using @StAgnesNYC.

Thank you for supporting St. Agnes!

St. Agnes accepts Venmo!

You can now donate to Saint Agnes through Venmo on your smartphone. Search for user @StAgnesNYC. Aren’t familiar with Venmo? It’s a popular way to send money, safely. Some points to know: We use encryption to help protect your account infor-

mation and monitor your account activity to help iden-tify unauthorized transactions.

Pay family and friends with Venmo accounts using a

phone number or email. When you send money using your Venmo balance,

bank account, debit card or prepaid card, we waive fees so it’s free. Our standard 3% fee applies to credit cards. Receiving money and making purchases in other apps is always free.

Make payments using your debit card, credit card, bank

account, and more. Venmo doesn't charge for basic services like: Sending money from a linked bank account, debit card or your Venmo balance. Receiving/withdrawing money into your Venmo account or using our standard transfer to your bank account. Venmo also has NO monthly or annual fees. (Fees may

apply for premium services.) The Venmo App is available at The App Store or through Google Play.

Spiritual Communion

You can make a spiritual communion when participating in a live Mass through the internet, like our WEEK-DAY or SUNDAY Mass that is Livestreamed on our Youtube channel at 12noon. A classic prayer for Spiritual Communion is below.

My Jesus, I believe that Thou

art present in the Blessed Sacrament.

I love Thee above all things and

I desire Thee in my soul.

Since I cannot now receive Thee

sacramentally, come at least

spiritually into my heart,

as though Thou wert already there.

I embrace Thee and unite

myself wholly to Thee;

permit not that I should ever

be separated from Thee.

Amen.

Regina Caeli (O Queen of Heaven)

The Regina Caeli is one of four Marian antiphons. It is said throughout Eastertide. (That is, from Easter Day through Pente-cost, the seventh Sunday after Easter. The Regina Caeli is also said in place of the Angelus during Eastertide. Traditionally, the Angelus is prayed at 6am, noon, and 6pm.

Queen of Heaven

V. Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia.

R. For He whom you did merit to bear, alleluia.

V. Has risen, as He said, alleluia.

R. Pray for us to God, alleluia.

V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.

R. For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia.

Let us pray.

O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,

grant, we beseech Thee, that through the intercession

of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Urbi & Orbi: Receive the Pope’s Blessing

On Easter Sunday the Holy Father offers his apostolic blessing to the faithful, commonly known as Urbi et Orbi. There is a plenary indulgence at-tached to this blessing, but you must hear it live. Urbi et Orbi happens at noon Rome time, which is 6am in NYC. The blessing is only a few minutes long. Options for hearing Urbi et Orbi live include: EWTN Catholic Radio, EWTN Television, livestream through EWTN’s website, and the Vatican’s Youtube Channel. The “usual conditions” of Confession, receiving the Eucharist, and prayers for the Holy Father apply to the Urbi et Orbi plenary indulgence. Note: It is advisa-ble to say an Act of Contrition after receiving your blessing and then wait until you are able to go to Confession and receive the Eucharist.
