South Africa | Lesotho
Ride the Drakensberg and Lesotho Mountains in the north east of South Africa and
then head south to ride the world famous Garden Route with its beautiful mountain
passes, evergreen forests and coastal vistas ALL THE WAY to Cape Town.

Starting in Pretoria, South Africa you make your way to the Mountainous Kingdom of Lesotho. Here you will ride to Katse Dam- a ride with more turns within 80 km than any other road in Africa.
Next up you head back into South Africa again and ride through Golden Gate National Park and the mighty Drakensberg Mountains to Himeville
You reach the Indian Ocean at East London and then enjoy a world class safari into Addo Elephant National Park- spotting Lions, Elephants, Rhino, leopard and Buffalo.
You are now in the famous Garden Route and will spend the next
several days riding beautiful mountain passes, forest meanders and desert roads. Enjoy a night at the mighty Storms River Mouth, ride to the Knsyna Heads, and visit Ostriches in Oudtshoorn.
Next up the ride takes you all the way to the Southern Most Point of Africa at Cape Agulhas before riding 0ver 200km of amazing coastal roads all the way into Cape Town.

Day 1: Pretoria To Clarens +- 400km
Highlights: Historic Motorcycle Museum, Golden
Sandstone Cliffs
After a delicious breakfast you make your way
through South Africa's Orange countryside to
Clarens. This is a delightful ride. You may wish to
stop in at the beautiful town of Deneysville on
the banks of the Orange River to see the
historical motorcycle museum. After lunch, you
ride through South Africa's very own Bethlehem,
arriving in Clarens in the late afternoon. Clarens
its famous for its GOLDEN Sandstone cliffs.
Clarens has its own brewery with free beer
tasting- a good way to celebrate the end of a
great first days ride!

Day 2: Clarens- Lesotho- Clarens (+- 412km)
Highlights: Lesotho Mountain passes, Katze Dam
On this day YOU will experience a very exciting
ride to Katze Dam in Lesotho. After an early start,
you enter the Lesotho border and make your way
towards Katze Dam (a huge man made dam that
forms part of the Highlands water project which
supplies water to South Africa in times of
drought) The road to the dam has more turns
within 80km than any other road in Africa. A
motorcycle riders' dream.The condition of the
road is excellent with very little traffic. The Katze
Dam is truly eye opening! After lunch you can
return along the same road arriving back at the
hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Clarens to Underberg (+-435km)
Highlights: Majestic Drakensberg, Golden Gate
National Park
Today’s ride is unbelievably scenic. You ride down
through the Golden Gate National Park. This park
is made up of sandstone cliffs, with scenic rocks
and other interesting land formations. Watch out
for Antelope and Vervet monkeys crossing the
road- you’re in the wild here! Your day is spent
riding through the majestic Drakensberg
Mountains and you should arrive in Underberg in
the early afternoon.

Day 4: Underberg to East London (+-
540km) Highlights: Relaxing Ride
Today is a relaxing ride through the foothills of
the Drakensberg mountains. In the late
Afternoon, you will arrive in East London- a small
city situated on the Indian Ocean. Tonight you
sleep on the beautiful beach in Chintsa- one of
South Africa's most popular holiday resort towns.

Day 5: East London to Addo Elephant
National Park (+- 247 km)
Highlights: Wildlife @Addo Elephant
Today you make your way through the rolling hills
of the Eastern Cape, to Addo Elephant National
Park- home to Africa's famous BIG 5. Later you
will embark on a sunset game drive in an open
safari vehicle. Addo is famous for its large herds
of elephants!

Day 6: Addo Rest Day (0-50km) Highlights: Safari, Safari, Safari
Enjoy a day completely focused on wildlife. Enjoy
a full day Game Drive into Addo Big 5 Nature
Reserve. The Game Rangers will make the bush
come alive and they share their knowledge and
insight with you. Relax and unwind back at your
beautiful guest house on your return.
Day 8: Addo to Tsitsikamma (+- 221 km)
Highlights Storms River Mouth
Today you will ride to Tsitsikamma National Park
and sleep in wooden cabins overlooking Storms
River Mouth. You will have the whole afternoon
free to explore this beautiful National Park.
Storms River is the start of our famous “Otter
Trail” and you can walk part of the hike down to
the breathtaking suspension bridges between the
sea cliffs. Enjoy an evening spent in this very
unique camp overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Day 9: Tsitsikamma – Knsyna-
Oudtshoorn (+- 260 km)
Highlights: Exploring Knysna, Riding the Garden
Route
Today you ride the world-famous Garden Route.
The first stop is the spectacular Bloukrans Gorge.
Bloukrans is home to the world Highest Bungee
Jump- 216 Meters of pure Adrenalin. Next up you

ride into Knysna to marvel at the beautiful Knysna
Heads. From here riders can either take the dirt
or tar route into the Mountains. Both option
include unbelievable views and spectacular
mountain roads- that the Garden Route in known
for. You will arrive in Oudtshoorn- the Ostrich
Capital of South Africa- in the late afternoon. This
will be your home for the next two nights.

Day 10: Rest Oudtshoorn (+- 0-200 km)
Highlights: Garden Route, Ostrich farms, Cango
Caves and spectacular mountain passes
Today is a rest day- but there is so much to see
and do. You may wish to visit The Cango Caves
with its beautiful stalactites and stalacmites or do
a tour of a working Ostrich farm- where you will
get to feed, touch and hug Ostriches. For those
that would like to do some more exciting dirt
riding there will be an optional ride over the
famous Swartberg Pass, this is a bucket list ride
for Adventure Bikers the world over.

Day 10: Oudtshoorn to Hermanus (+- 350
km)
Highlights: Route 62, Cape Agulhas
After an early breakfast, you make your way to the
start of Route 62. The road winds through the
Swartberg Mountains and beautiful foothills in
their valleys. Next up, you carry on down to Cape
Agulhas- the Southernmost tip of Africa at 34° S
and 20°E . Here the ice cold waters of the Atlantic
ocean meet the warm Indian ocean, creating a
turbulent mixture of untamed beauty. There is
always a party at Cape Agulhas, as you celebrate
reaching the most southern point of Africa, after a
photoshoot you carry on to Hermanus- the whale
watching capital of South African and your home
for the night.

Day 11: Hermanus to Cape Town (+-270 km) Highlights: Bettys Bay Penguins,
Coastal Roads, Cape Point
Today you make your way to Cape Town, South
Africa's Mother City. This is the highlight of the trip as
there are beautiful coastal views with twisting roads
cut into the sea cliffs virtually all the way. First stop is
the old Navy port of "Simonstown" where you can
view South African penguins living it up on the beach.
After that we make our way to Cape Point- the most
South-westerly point of Africa (with views of the Cape
Peninsula). Tonight you sleep in Cape Town with
breathtaking views of Table Mountain.

Day 12: End of tour (+- 0-50 km)
Sadly, your tour of South Africa has come to an
end. We guarantee that you will take home loads
of awesome photographs and fond memories of
South Africa the warm people you have met.
Transfers will be arranged to the airport.
