Minority Enterprise

Advocate (MEA) continues our

mission with small/minority, women,

and veteran-owned businesses to attain

strength and economic empowerment

by increasing business relationships and

partnerships in public and private

sectors. MEA will assist in maintaining

that competitive edge necessary to

succeed in a diverse and ever changing

business community both nationally and

globally.

MEA is a product of an award-winning

organization, Minority Enterprise

Executive Council, founded in 1997 with

over 2,000 members and a database of

over 1,500,000 minority businesses and

organizations. In 2001, the U.S.

Department of the Interior presented

MEA with a leadership award and signed

a Memorandum of Understanding

(MOU) in 2002. The U.S Small Business

Administration presented the

organization with the “Economic

Empowerment Vision Award” in 2000

and signed an MOU in 2001 and 2003.

In 2004, NASA recognized the

organization with the Small Business

Advocate Award. The Maryland House

of Delegates presented MEA with official

citations in 2003 and 2004.

MEA is very proactive with business

activities all year round through

business conferences, award

recognitions, strategic partnerships,

seminars and workshops. Over the

years we have attracted a new

generation of certified businesses with

the ability to do business in both public

and private sectors. As part of our

relentless effort, we are partnering with

international business agencies to open

doors of opportunities to minorities in

the global marketplace. In 2013 we

initiated the US-Africa Business Council

(www.usafricabc.com) to further our

global outreach.

In February 2003 our bi-monthly

publication, Minority Enterprise

Advocate Magazine (MEA) was created

to address issues that affect minority

business. The publication goes directly

to government officials, corporate

supplier diversity executives, as well as

presidents and chief executive officers

of companies.

Minority entrepreneurs make up a large

part of America’s mainstream and

economic power. MEA continues to

support the spirit of entrepreneurship

through programs and networking

opportunities.

Dear Sponsor,

The purpose of Minorities in Business Awards Luncheon 2014 is to recognize men and women

business leaders here and abroad who are creating business growth and empowering

communities around the world. The event will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from

10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Show Place Arena, 14900 Pennsylvania Avenue, Upper Marlboro,

Maryland 20772. This opportunity will allow everyone to come together and exchange concepts

and strategies that will further develop our economic future.

These entrepreneurs are movers and shakers; some of the greatest minds; business owners and

experts in their fields. They are capable of building alliances to enhance trade, investment, and

job creation opportunities that will affect our communities and future leaders. They have the

knowledge of the emerging markets and how we can all benefit by working together making

the international business community more effective and a reality for everyone who wants to

participate.

Corporate executives, government officials, and business leaders in the following industries will

be honored: manufacturing, import/export; energy; IT; cyber security; healthcare;

telecommunications; construction; education; philanthropic organizations; finance and

investments, etc.

MEA Magazine is a business tool for small/minority, women and veteran-owned entrepreneurs

that bring people together to create business relationships. This event will present great

networking with federal, state and local government; political and congressional dignitaries; as

well as Embassy officials.

Sponsorship commitment is attached along with this letter to detail our different sponsorship

packages that you can choose from. This will clearly explain to you the level of participation

available for this event.

We are waiting to hear a positive response from you as soon as possible. In case of any queries,
