The Shrine is Victoria’s memorial to the men and women who have served Australia in war and peacekeeping operations throughout our nation’s history. heide Museum of Modern Art

Heide Museum of Modern Art, or Heide as it is affectionately known, began life in 1934 as the Melbourne home of John and Sunday Reed and has since evolved into one of Australia’s most unique destinations for modern and contemporary Australian art. Located just twenty minutes from the city, Heide boasts fifteen acres of beautiful gardens, three dedicated exhibition spaces, two historic kitchen gardens, a sculpture park and the Heide Store.

RAAf Museum Point Cook

The RAAF Museum, located at Point Cook, is home to an amazing range of historic military aircraft. A great chance to view these rare birds is at the interactive flying displays which are held every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 1pm (weather permitting). The Museum has a vast collection of historical material on show including several hangars with static aircraft and offers visitors an exciting experience and insight into the history of the Air Force. La Trobe university Visual Arts Centre

The La Trobe university Visual Arts Centre (VAC) is a contemporary art gallery and popular events venue. Located in the Bendigo Arts Precinct, the VAC presents 18 cutting-edge exhibitions by local, national and international artists each year, plus associated public programs including lectures and artist floortalks.

The distinctive facade of the VAC extends the annual exhibition program to the street. The Facade Project, a national competition for a major public artwork run in partnership with the City of Greater Bendigo, transforms the VAC and the streetscape of View Street each August.

The VAC features a fully equipped auditorium, meeting room and reception area available for corporate and community events.
