Access to generator rooms will be strictly limited to authorised personnel.

Work on the generator, will be carried out by authorised personnel working on a permit to work system.

Any automatic start up circuits will be disabled before work is commenced on the generator.

If the room has an automatically controlled fire suppression system, the system must be disabled before the room is entered, and reinstated after the permit to work has been cancelled.

The generator rooms will have the appropriate warning signs fixed to the access doors, complete with emergency telephone numbers.
