NIIF Issues Over 12 months • NIOC, Issue #132, Development of NIIF ATM SVC
Interconnection/Interoperability Document, was accepted on 11/18/98 at NIIF 14. On May 11, 2000 at NIIF 23, it was tabled until an actual interconnection issue could be identified. At NIIF 31 on December 3, 2001, it was returned to active status. Verizon provided a presentation on ATM SVC Interconnection for NIOC #35. As a result, potential interconnection issues were identified and are being researched by the Committee.
• NIOC, Issue #0186, “Processing of Calling Party Category Parameters at Gateways”, was accepted on 2/13/01 at NIIF #27. The NIOC is actively working to ensure that the NIIF documentation provides carriers adequate guidance regarding the processing of the CPC parameters at ANSI to ANSI and ANSI to ITU-T gateways. (Tabled as of 8/14/03)

NIIF Issues Over 12 months
• NIOC, Issue #0197, NIIF Interconnection Template”, was accepted 10/08/01 at NIIF #30. The NIOC is actively working towards reviewing the NIIF Interconnection Template.
• NIOC, Issue #0207, Roaming Wireless 710 Call Difficulties, was opened on April 18, 2002 at NIIF #33. This issue is actively being worked by the NIOC.
• NIOC, Issue #0208, Jurisdictional Information Parameter (JIP), was opened on April 17, 2002 at NIIF #33. This issue is actively being worked by the NIOC.
• NRRIC, Issue #0210, Embedded Wireless NPA-NXX Codes using Incumbent LEC’s OCN was opened on June 11, 2002 at NIIF #34. This issue is actively being worked by the NRRIC.
