Verbs finishing in ER >> become “é”

AGREEMENT OF THE PAST PARTICIPLE
There is one further point to bear in mind.
Verbs taking “être” as an auxiliary verb
need to agree with their subject.
>> So, if the subject was male: it’s
easy, the verb stays the way it is,
nothing to add.
e.g.: il est parti (he has left)
MASCULINE
>> If the subject was male and plural: you will have to ad
“s” at the end of the past participle
e.g.: il sont partis (they have left)
MASCULINE and PLURAL
>> if the subject was female:
you will have to add
““e”e” at the end of the past participle
e.g.: elle est partie (she has left)
FEMININE
>> if the subject was female and plural:
you will have to add
““es”es” at the end of the past participle
e.g.: elles sont parties (they have left)
