IDEAS for NEXT WEEK: - MONDAY: status and work time on p. 496 answers "Harriet Tubman"; then class discussion; assign OPEN book quiz "Selection Test B" #1 - #14- due end of period; turn in - TUESDAY: correct Selection Test B together and discuss; then background information about Frederick Douglass in RED Literature book p. 492 AND in Reading Warm-Up B worksheet in eBackpack - WEDNESDAY: correct and discuss Warm-Up B worksheet AND THEN begin Text Dependent Analysis with "A Letter to Harriet Tubman from Frederick Douglas" and Text Dependent Questions: 1. Read letter aloud together 2. Do the first 3 questions together on worksheet: then individually finish the other 4 questions on worksheet- due Thursday -THURSDAY: discuss the last 4 questions on the chart Culmination Writing Task: discuss prompt, then assign Evidence Chart Pre-Writing Activity due Friday -FRIDAY: Evidence Chart due; class discuss chart; revisit prompt; and set up 3 paragraph essay with thesis statement using OBMS READER graphic organizer to complete rough draft- due Monday after 10 minutes of work time
