NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS

Since its inception, AeU has proudly and consistently striven for excellence, garnering awards and world-wide recognition in the process. Some of its outstanding achievements, both locally and abroad are; the winner of Brand Laureate Awards 2010 for “Best Brand in Education - e-Education,” and the winner of the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2010 under the “Most Promising Entrepreneur” category. Additionally the University has been awarded the prestigious Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) status, which is a testament to the University's commitment to integrating technology and innovation into its learning and teaching methods. In 2009, the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO), at the Commonwealth of Learning Conference has acknowledged AeU as ‘a primary mover of Open Educational Resources’ (UNESCO, 2009). A year after, the University was appointed as the ‘Malaysia Gateway University’ for distance and online learning under the Malaysian Economic Transformation Programme (ETP); and in October 2012, AeU has been declared as ‘the Best ACD Project’ during the ACD Meeting in Kuwait.
