    Wasntour Eastercelebrationfantastic?!The choirs

cantata was soinspirationalthat many ofus were movedto tears. We

had a full house at all of our servicessorry for those who had to find a parkingplace and then a seat. I, for one, loveovercrowding problems, but it is still apain for those who have to walk a longway. The whole mood of the day wasjoyousfrom our wonderful breakfastcelebration to the Easter egg hunt for the

kidsall joined in sharing the blessingsof God. We were able to work in a littlechocolate into the daythanks so much

for the chocolate fountain! The fear I have now is that we will

move on and forget about Easter. Wellforget the blessings, the joy and new lifewe have on this wonderful day. The

great writer Barbara Johnson has saidthat we are an Easter people living in aGood Friday world. As we look aroundat all the tragedy that happens aroundusSyria, Iraq, Afghanistan or tornadoesin our own statewe realize how muchEaster means to us as Christians.

One way we are claiming ourstatus as Easter people is to continue torecognize Gods blessings. This Sundaywe will recognize Holy Humor Sunday.Traditionally it has been the Sunday whenthe Church acknowledged the greatest

joke ever played on the worldGodconquered death through the resurrection. So the Sunday after Easter was spent

telling jokes. We will continue thattradition.

And then starting April 22, ChildreSunday, we will begin a five-weekemphasis on 29 Gifts. 29 Gifts is a boo

by Cami Walker, detailing her strugglewith addiction, MS and other healthproblems. She is guided by a friend tobegin a 29-day process of giving away gift a day. At the end of her 29 days shsays she became a new person. Givingchanged her life, and her health. Wewill encourage you to go on this journas well and see how giving can not onlchange your life, but give you a newperspectiveperhaps a look through theyes of the Kingdom of God. I think wbe able to keep a fresh emphasis on be

an Easter people, after all, we dont wato forget!
