• Stitch weaving - DORNIER ORW technology

• Using DORNIER’s ORW technology, it is possible to integrate embroidery in the weaving process so that weaving and embroidery can run at the same time on DORNIER weaving machines.

Technology

Opening the reed upwards allows inserting additional pattern threads between the reed and weaving shafts using specialthread guides. These additional pattern threads are passed to the weaving process using a bypass, comprising an additional warp stop motion and a deflection system above the weaving shafts, using the movable thread guides. After the additional pattern threads have dipped into the lower shed, the weft is inserted which binds the additional pattern threads. This creates a weft effect on the fabric surface that can be controlled freely using a lifting plan and is comparable to embroidery and Scherli-patterns.

PICANOLNote on Special Features:Bluebox: larger memory to store more data, fastercalculation speed by 10X, remote service possibilities.

EcoFill: primarily for para-aramide fabrics; consists of an pneumatically controlled double clamp & a weft scissor at the beat-up point. Leads to substantial savings in weft material

Electronic pressure regulator: for airjet m/cs; pressure settings adjusted from display only; air consumption savings of 10%

Airwave: automatic adjustment of air pressure in the relay nozzles.

Page 30: 03 ITMAweavingimportante itma 2011

PICANOLNote on Special Features:Direct Warp Control: enables warp tension to be kept to a minimum and minimize variation in warp tension

FillMax: a modular device mounted in the place of fixed main nozzle, has the potential to increase insertion rates by 15%. Will be available for

bottoms, denim and sheeting fabrics

Electronic weft tensioner: for rapier m/cs; ensures optimum weft yarn tension during entire insertion cycle; equipped with pneumatic cleaning to enable use of contaminating weft (flax, blanket yarn); can handle all types of yarns; can be used on any type of prewinder thus improving efficiency and quality

Cordless System: false selvedge is not needed; compatible with continuous reeds.

Latest weft selection device can handle up to maximum 12 weft colours.

New shedding device is driven directly by servo-motor, gives higher speed and adjustable sheddings. Could accommodate up to 24 heald frames for complex weaves and can withstand higher warp tension.

Electrical rotary weft cutter is suitable for a much wider range of weft yarn.

Weft insertion is driven independently by servo-motor and works on rigid rapier type.

The beat-up device is controlled independently by servo-motor. Speed, time and position are all computerized resulting in the highest flexibility.

Warp tension could be displayed and set thro’ the computer on the electronic take-up and let-off system. Variable weft densities could be obtained during weaving.

The Studio - Sampling Loom

• Changing of styles is frequent on sampling looms. The new quick loading system ensures the heald frames to be fixed and released easily by one single operation.

• Different types of temples could be installed to meet the requirements of different fabrics. The false-selvedge cutter could be adjusted conveniently and is suitable for all kinds of yarn. .

• SEdit2 is a built-in design and editing software. Editing off loom is also possible by installing the software on other desktop or notebook computers. It supports both graphic and text input.

• Dobbytronic - loom driver software, offers more options than before. Operations through icons and text are possible and weaving could easily be achieved using default values.

• Dr. Studio built-in software, for diagnosing problems on mechanical parts of the loom, is a helpful tool for daily routine maintenance.
