Speeial~ .. If your party is large enough, you may be able to talk to the producers of the pantomime and arrange for special references to Beaver Scouts to be made from the stage.

You may also be able to arrange for the cast to distribute sweets or fruit that could have been donated by a local company.

- - • Approach the theatre about the visit as early as possible. (They usually start planning their productions during late summer.)
• Let the mums and dads know as soon as the outing is definite.
• Open a 'savings scheme' to cover the cost.

Sisters, brothers, girlfriends, boyfriends, Rainbow Guides.
Somewhere romantic and splendid - it's marvellous what a window dresser can do with crepe paper!!
An edible contribution to the evening's refreshments.
Guests should arrive in state and be met by local dignitaries, e.g. the District Commissioner and Assistant District Commissioner, in suitable dress.
As smart and formal as possible - ties or cravats to be worn. The ladies to carry parasols or fans.
live music, supplied by talented members/friends of the Group.
Posies for the gentlemen to present to the ladies.
.3 to 4 months ahead. Involve as many other adults as possible.
• Advertise for a window-dresser, musician, dancing master, entertainer and caterer.
• Formal invitations to be designed, produced and distributed.

Group or District Venture Scouts and Ranger Guides.
The largest open space available to you. Beware of overhead cables etc.
Homemade or manufactured kites, plus a Venture Scout or Ranger Guide for every Beaver Scout. Some trophies.
Participants to make their own arrangements.

Informal/activity wear.
Display by a real expert. Soup and rolls to warm the spirits. Certificates for every kite that leaves the ground.
• Contact with Venture Scout and Ranger Guide Units to generate enthusiasm and support.
• Venue to be chosen and booked.
• Schedule of classes of kites e.g. by size
homemade or manufactured style (box or conventional)
• Notices to parents.
• Ample time for parents and Colonies to design, make, test and modify kites.
