Our experienced and friendly staff is available to help you explore occupations and career fields through our extensive resources. Our goal is to provide you with helpful information to assist you in making one of the most important decisions which will influence the course of your life.

Books such as: What Can I Do With a Major in? Great Jobs for Teachers Great Jobs for Psychology Majors Great Jobs for Health Occupations, etc.
Eureka computer program which lists: Over 1,200 major-related occupational descriptions Salary & Employment Projection Information Job Preparation, educational requirements
Self-Assessments/Questionnaires such as: Micro skills Occu-Sort True colors
Assessments with a counselor referral: Strong Interest Inventory Myers/Briggs

Choosing the right path!
The Transfer CenTer offers a variety of services and resources to help transfer students make a smoother transitionfrom MJC to the university system. Being a transfer student means you are beginning your bachelor’s degree at MJC. After you transfer, you will complete your “upper division” coursework and graduate from the University.
In the Transfer Center you will find extensive resourcesand assistance such as: One-on-one counseling One-on-one appointments with four-year campus reps. Campus visits from many CSU, private, and UC reps.
Transfer Admission Guarantees to: UC Davis, UC Merced, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, and various CSU’s and private universities. Free campus tours
