be less than 20.6 mm
b) The out side diameter of the conduits shallnot be less than 24.6 mm.
c) The complete manufactured length shall notbe less than 3 metres.
Clause 8The inside and outside surfaces of conduit shallbe reasonably smooth & free from burrs, flash& similar defects, in addition, the edges overwhich the conductors or cables are likely tobe drawn shall not damage the cable orconductors.
Clause 9.2The samples of Conduit, whe'n subjected forbending test at room temperature and also at- 5 :t 2°C:a) It shall be possible to remove the bending aid
without damage to the sample after bendingrollers released,
b) There shall be no signs of cracks on thesample of conduit visible to normal or correctedvision without magnification after the test.
Clause 9.3a) The difference between the initial diameter and
the diameter of the flattened conduits when acompression force of 1250 N is still appliedshall not exceed 25 percent of the initial"diameter.
b) The difference between the initial diameter andthe diameter of the flattened sample of conduitmeasured after 1 minute removal ofcompression force of 1250 N shall not exceed10 percent of the initial diameter..

Clause 9.4There shall be no sign of disintegration, neither shallthere be any crack visible to the naked eye in atleast nine of the twelve samples. when the samplesof conduits subiected for impact test as specified.
Clause 10Conduits shall be adequately resistance to heat.The impression diameter measured shall notexceed 2.0 mm, when the sample of conduitsubiected for "Ball pressure test" as specified.
Clause 11Non-flame propagating insulating conduit shall notignite or, if ignited not continue to burn, when thesource of ignition is removed. If the sample burns itshall do so slowly and the flame shall not spreadappreciably; any flame shall have died out in lessthan 30 seconds after removal of the burner.
Clause 12Insulating conduits shall have adequate electricalstrength and insulation resistance.
a) Electric strength:There shall be no breakdown or flashover occurswhen the sample of conduit was subjected forhigh voltage test by applying 2000 V AC for 15 I',
minutes between the electrodes as specified.b) Insulation resistance:
The insulation resistance measured shall notbe less than 100 meg ohms when the sample ofconduit subjected for measurement of insulationresistance on application of 500 V DC betweenthe electrodes for 1 minute as specified.
