Traditional style cooking which originated from the villages of the foothills of Mount K2 region. Travellers would carry an iron skillet (balti) with them and cook everything on an open fire. This tradition is still carried on today, if you try to climb K2 that’s how your guides would prepare your food. Balti dishes are cooked in a balti pan, main ingredients are stir fried, then tossed with exotic herbs and spices in a thick sauce, slightly tangy in taste.
