AURP Members & Guests,

Welcome to Tempe and the Arizona sunshine.

With the expert talents and resources of our Spring Training 2018 Planning Committee, we are looking to make this year’s event

the most memorable ever, focusing on #TrendingNow interactive discussion areas and the ultimate guest experience.

If this is your first year attending Spring Training, you will certainly find that this is not your average conference. This program is meant to be a convening of the leaders of our greatest source of innovation and thought, not just in the United States, but throughout the world. During the week, you’ll find that collaboration and interaction are key to our format. Tackling the challenges that face our university research parks are best handled together through our aligned efforts—and we know we can count on you to bring your ideas, solutions and thoughts this week to share with other leaders, like yourself.

This gathering has helped to foster incredibly beneficial relationships across the community of research park facilities with new perspectives on how to manage relationships with universities, corporations and especially the communities, which are home to our research parks, incubators/accelerators and innovation districts.

We know everything packed into this week will help to make for an exciting Spring Training and the ideas and innovation born in these few days will help to change the face of the university parks across the world!

So, let’s get out there, and Play Ball!

Carol Stewart Chief Executive Officer, AURP Board of Directors

Welcome

Friends and Colleagues,

Welcome to Spring Training!

This year’s meeting marks our seventh year of bringing the world’s leaders in university research parks to Tempe, Arizona to learn, collaborate and develop the partnerships and relationships which make this whole venture worthwhile.

This year’s line-up of subject-matter experts will provide great exposure and collaboration for these #TrendingNow topics. The questions, discussions and networking opportunities are meant to help drive and encourage future connections and a greater overall feeling of community.

As always, please join me in thanking our incredible 2018 Spring Training Planning Committee. Laura Frerichs and her All-Star Planning Committee has worked hard to make this the “can’t miss” event for another year.

Tempe has proven to be a great venue for Spring Training. Please let us know what we can do to make this as welcoming and comfortable of an environment as it has been in the past. AURP staff will be available throughout the week to handle any concerns and answer your questions.

This week is about you – your role in leading your research park and finding the opportunities, perspectives and vision to help your park reach new levels of success. Let’s not forget that it’s also about enjoying what it is that you do, and the people with whom you work.

Let’s get out there and have a great Spring Training 2018!
