MyPC ReportsMyPC provides comprehensive statistical information for your organization. The remainder of this section provides a brief overview of each report and its purpose. The following sections will provide more detail on each report, as well as screenshots of all available options.To access MyPC Reports, click on the reports button in the MyPC Web Admin Console toolbar. TheReport options will be shown.

Booking Reports

This section contains a group of reports detailing computer bookings that have occurred in the past and those that will occur in the future.

User Bookings ReportThis report provides detailed statistics on Computer Bookings made on the MyPC System.

Block Bookings ReportThis report provides detailed statistics on Block Bookings made on the MyPC System.

No Shows ReportProvides details of individual bookings where users have failed to turn up for their session.

Future User Bookings ReportProvides listings of all user bookings scheduled to occur in the future.

Future Block Bookings ReportProvides listings of all block bookings scheduled to occur in the future.

Attended Bookings Versus No ShowsThis report provides details of the percentage attended bookings that occurred in the past compared to individual bookings where users failed to turn up for their sessions.

Booking Method Summary ReportThis report shows a summary of the different booking types (i.e. Walk-up Bookings, AdvanceBookings and Block Bookings).

Number of Bookings ReportThis report gives an hourly summary of bookings within your Sites and Locations.

Resource Reports

This section contains one report detailing the status of the computers.

Faulty Computers ReportThis report shows details of computers that have been marked faulty and their current status.

User Reports

This group of reports provide information relating to users’ booking consumption history andBehavior.

Banned Users ReportThis report provides a summary of all banned users and the subsequent ban revocation activity.

Currently Banned Users ReportThis report provides a summary of all currently banned users.

User Ban History ReportThis report allows you to view the ban history for a specific user. Please enter a user’s name in theblank field provided.

Unique Users ReportThis report displays a list of all users who have used MyPC controlled computers with the date range specified across all Sites or a specific Site. It culminates in the total number of unique users. For example if Homer uses computers twenty times he will only be counted once.

Utilization Reports

This group of reports provides data on computer utilization.

Utilization Summary ReportThis report shows the total number of minutes that Resources were used across all Sites or in a specific Site providing overall usage figures culminating in usage percentages.

Site and Location Usage ReportThis report shows details of all sessions that have occurred at the selected Site or at all Sites within the dates specified culminating in grand totals showing the number of bookings, total usage time and average duration.

Peak Usage ReportThis report shows the percentage utilization per hour covering the selected period at the selected Site for the selected Locations or all Locations culminating in average utilization percentages per hour.

iSPY Usage ReportThis shows details of the iSPY sessions started by TA/NTA Users.

Selecting Users, User Groups, Sites and Locations in Reports The majority of the reports in MyPC allow you to select a user by specifying an individual user (where required) or the block booking name, Site/Location details, Time Period, selecting the Context/User Group, the Report View (Summary/Detailed (CSV Export)), Data View (Tabular/Graphic), show NTA/TA Usage or deleted users Rather than cover this for every report, we will cover it once here. A Typical report dialogue looks like this:

Booked ForWhere applicable you can specify an individual Login ID by entering it in the Booked For (Login ID)field, like this.

If you want to generate the report for all users, leave Booked For (Login ID) blank. By default, the report will be generated for All Sites/Locations and User Groups. However, you can change this to generate the report for all users but select specific/multiple Sites/Locations and User Groups only by clicking on the Modify button.

Site/LocationYou can select All or a multiple selection of the User Groups by clicking on the Modify button.

Time PeriodNext you can select a Time Period. The majority of the reports in MYPC allow statistics to be generated for a particular time period, bound by a start date and an end date or alternatively by anumber of set weeks, months, yesterday, last week, last month, today, this week and this month.

If you select specific the following date range will show.

In our example we will be using the specific date range option. Clicking on the date you wish to change (Start or End) will display a calendar dialogue as shown below.

Select the appropriate date from the calendar. For this example, we will change the start date to be the 20 Can 2013. Clicking the desired date will automatically close the calendar dialogue box and the date field will be updated.

Context/User GroupsMyPC 6 reports allows the option to filter the report based on Context (Domain) and User Group, as configured in MyPC, allowing you to target your report right down to a specific user group. For example, you might like to know how many children visit your library branch or how many travel and tourism students visit the learning resources center.

Report View (Summary or Detail (CSV Export)MyPC 6 reports allow you to choose between viewing the report as a Summary or as a Detailed (CSV Export) view. The summary view takes you directly to the management information that waspreviously found on the last page of the original MyPC 3/4 Reports.

Data View (Tabular or Graphical)The option to display a graphical report can only be selected at the summary level.

Advanced OptionsSelecting Advanced Options will display two options, Show NTA/TA Usage and Show deleted users. By default these options are enabled however you can uncheck these options if you do not wish to include deleted users or NTA/TA usage statistics.

Is AutomatedHere you can choose to deliver any report via e-mail by selecting the Is Automated tick box.

The MyPC reports can be scheduled to be delivered on a daily, weekly or monthly basis by selecting the desired time period from the drop down menu and checking the correct email address is listed..

Once the dialogue is completed it will look like this:

Click on the View Report or Save button. Alternatively click on the X to close the dialogue.

If you click on the Save button the following dialogue will show. Please enter a name in the field provided.

Click Update or alternatively click on the X to close the dialogue.

Next you can continue to view the report. Click on the Save button to save the report. Alternatively click on Delete or X.

If you clicked on the Save button the MYPC Reports section will update to show the saved report which you can access and modify or view at any point.

Click on the saved report and select View Report. The following details will be shown.

You can drill down in the report to view a Detailed View by clicking on the + symbol next to the user name e.g. bart.

Please note that this detailed report can also be accessed from the Reports Menu byselecting the “Detailed” radio button.

Report OverviewThe report overview is on the first page of the report which shows the totals (where applicable) and the configuration values of the chosen report.

Column sortingMyPC 6 provides the ability to sort the data in a report by simply clicking on the column headings. In the report below it shows the location column where the sort has been applied and is highlighted with

a little triangle. To change sorting you would simply click another column heading.

Search in ReportsYou can search for any text within the report by clicking the search button as shown below. An example of its use could be to search for a particular user in a report which has several hundredpages of results. When the search button is clicked it will open a search dialogue box and a text value can be entered to search through the report.

Drill Down for Detailed Information.When a summary view report is generated it is possible to drill down on applicable reports to get detailed statistics on an entry from the summary view. You simply click the entry and a detailed viewreport will be generated for that entry.

Export OptionsReports can be exported into seven different file formats: PDF, Excel (XLS), RTF, MHT, Text (TXT), CSV and as images (PNG). MyPC 6 allows you to view the report, print and export the data all from the convenience of the same screen. Please see the various options as detailed below:

Booking ReportsClicking on the Booking Reports icon will display all the available Booking Reports. Each one of these reports will be covered in detail.

User Bookings ReportThis report provides detailed statistics on Computer Bookings made on the MyPC System.

The summary report’s date period, booking type, booked for, context, user group, show NTA/TA usage, show deleted users, total bookings, total average duration, average duration, total average utilization and average utilization is shown along the top. We will now describe each column shown in the report.

Login ID The login ID the user used to log on to MyPC (their Username).

Name This comes from your Directory (Microsoft Active Directory, Novell Directory Services, etc.). This field can be blank if your Directory does not contain users’ names.

Site The MyPC Site the booking was made for.

Location The MyPC Location the booking was made for.

Number ofBookings The number of bookings that were made.

Number ofMachines The number of machines logged onto.

Duration(hh:mm:ss) This shows one of three things:

For a Walk-up booking, this shows the actual duration the user was logged on for. The figure shown here will match the Utilization (see below).

For an Advance booking, it shows the booking Utilization (see below)plus any time the computer was waiting for the user to log on.

For a No Show, it shows the Logon Wait Time, which is set in the Location Policy. It shows this because this is the amount of time the computer waited for the user to log on before the booking was cancelled.

Utilization(hh:mm:ss) The number of minutes that the user was actually logged on to the computer

for. This will be 00:00 for a No Show.

You can drill down in the report to show a specific Login ID by clicking on the desired Login ID e.g.Abraham.

Name This comes from your Directory (Microsoft Active Directory, Novell Directory Services, etc.). This field can be blank if your Directory does not contain users’ names.

Site The MyPC Site the booking was made for.

Location The MyPC Location the booking was made for.

Resource The computer the booking was made on.

Booking From The start time of the booking. This represents the time the booking was due to start for an Advance Booking, or the time the user logged on for a Walk-up Booking.

Duration(hh:mm:ss) This shows one of three things:

For a Walk-up booking, this shows the actual duration the user was logged on for. The figure shown here will match the Utilization (see below).

For an Advance booking, it shows the booking Utilization (see below)plus any time the computer was waiting for the user to log on.

Booking Method This will show either Advance for an Advance booking or Walk-up for a Walk- up booking.

Booked By This will show one of three things.

For an Advance booking made by a TA/NTA, this will show STAFFfollowed by the logon name of the TA/NTA that made the booking.

For an Advance booking made by a General User, this will showUSER

For a Walk-up booking, this will simply say USER

Alternatively you can run the report in CSV format by selecting Report View – Detailed (CSV Export). Running MyPC reports has a large impact on the process where IIS is concerned e.g. when larger reports are required, data is returned quicker in Detailed view (CSV Export) than in Summary view.

You can also wish to view the data in this report in the form of a bar chart.

Block Bookings ReportThis report provides detailed statistics on Block Bookings made on the MyPC System.

The summary report’s date period, booking type, context, user group, show NTA/TA usage, show deleted users, site, location, total bookings, total duration, average duration, total utilization and average utilization is shown along the top of the screen. We will now describe each column shown in the report.

Block BookingName This shows the block booking name which was created when the block

booking was made.

Password This shows the block booking password that was set when the block Booking was created. Setting a block booking password is optional. If no password was set then this field will be blank.

Site The MyPC Site the block booking was made for.

Location The MyPC Location the block booking was made for.

Number ofMachines The number of machines the block booking was made for. Please note that if

the block booking was made for say, four machines and were reported as No Shows then all machines will be shown in the column. If, for example, one user has logged onto one block booked machine then all the machines will still show in the column. If one user has logged onto a block booked machine then and deletes the booking then no machines will appear in this column.

Booking From The start date and time of the block booking.

Booking To The end date and time of the booking.

Duration(hh:mm:ss) This shows the booking Utilization plus any time the computer was waiting for

the user to log on.

Utilization(hh:mm:ss) This shows the number of minutes that the user was actually logged on to the

computer.

You can drill down in the report to show a specific Block Booking by clicking on the desired BlockBooking Name e.g. Revision.

Block BookingName This shows the block booking name which was created when the block

booking was made.

Login ID The login ID the user used to log on to MyPC (their Username).

Both individual and block booking No Shows are shown. For a block booking, the Name column shows the Block Booking Name, which was created when the Block Booking was made.

The durations shown are the Logon Wait Time for individual bookings. For Block Bookings, it will show one of two things, depending on how your Location Policy is configured. If your Location Policy has Block Booking Persistence enabled, the duration will show the entire block booking duration. If your Location Policy has Block Booking Persistence disabled and a Block Booking Logon Wait Time set, the duration will show whatever time period the Block Booking Logon Wait Time is set to.

The other columns shown contain identical data to the User Block Booking Report, above.

iSPY Usage ReportThis shows details of the iSPY sessions started by TA/NTA Users.

Please note that MyPC has no way of ascertaining whether the iSPY session started successfully and at what time it ended. This report solely lists when administrators attempted to start an iSPY session.
