Douglas S. Sobelman, M.D., M.B.A. - Director, Brand Development Dr. Sobelman joined BI - New York as Director, Brand Development. Prior to joining Brand Instute, he was Director of Instuonal Equity Sales at Silicon Valley Bank and Senior Equity Research Associate, Pharmaceucal Team at AB Bernstein. Prior to his most recent posions, he served as a Senior Markeng Manager at Pfizer where he was respon- sible for global promoonal plaorm development for their pain/inflammaon franchise, which included the brands Celebrex and Bextra. He was Director of New Product Planning and Business Development at Hoffmann-La Roche, working in therapeuc areas that included Oncology, Cardiovascular, Acute Care and Virology, and on brands that included Boniva, Tamiflu and Xeloda. Preceding that, he worked in new product development at Merck and helped develop/promote the blockbuster vaccine brands ProQuad, RotaTeq and Zostavax. Addional experience in the pharmaceucal and healthcare industry include Business Development at Becton Dickinson and Medical Science Liaison at Upjohn Pharmaceucals. Dr. Sobelman spent over 20 years of his career creang pharmaceucal brand names and developing, launching and markeng pharma- ceucal brands. He partnered with Brand Instute on the brand name development for the products listed above and is proud to have the opportunity to now serve his former industry from the agency side. She has collaborated with various healthcare professionals to ensure effecve paent care for the University of Miami Hospital and Bapst Hospital South Florida.
