    Donating blood is an act that can save the lives of thousands of

    people worldwide. We have 5-6 liters of blood flowing through

    our body. Only 350-450 ml of blood is collected from us .Blood

    donors falling to 3 types : voluntary ,replacement and paid

    donors . Blood donation is actually healthy for us . Health

    benefits of donating blood reduce the chance of heart diseases;

    enhance the production of new red blood cells, helps in fighting

    hemochroitosis & burns calories . So our study aimed is to

    clear the misconception, beliefs, attitude and fears about blood

    donation. The information so obtained could be helpful in

    developing appropriate messages to be used during

    recruitment campaigns, creating and strengthening positive
