Reliability of power cable lines
Currently, topical issue of the transfer of overhead lines in the cable. Cable power line in a big cities is
the most appropriate solution: they allow the release of further building plots expensive urban land that is now occupied by overhead lines almost completely protected from external influences - lightning, wind and low temperatures, vandalism, do not alter the
historical appearance of the city . The most suitable for the cable insulation material is cross-linked
polyethylene.

They have several advantages over cables insulated with paper impregnated by
physical, mechanical, dielectric and technological properties. The purpose of this project is to increase
the share of cables with XLPE insulation.To achieve this goal, targets such as the expansion of
production, introduction of new technologies and building new factories.

Expected results

Replacing old cable lines for the use of cables with XLPE when installing new cable lines and replacement or major repairs of old ones. Increase the share of the use of the power cable with XLPEpolyethylene to 80-85% in the market of power cables 10 - 220 kV.
