My Idea...

I am creating this presentation to help me narrow down ideas and inspirations for my music magazine. While we review this presentation please feel free to express your opinions and ideas. I will be showing you images, ideas, names and storylines that I think will be good to include in my magazine.

I am going to make my magazine a multi genre magazine which is going to be unique and aimed at young teenagers to early 20’s. I have created a Moodboard for my Target Audience ( see the link below ) Any idea’s or opinions ?!

Genre I have decided that my magazine is going to be a multi genre magazine, I felt that this would be a fair music magazine as it is aimed at everyone and their favourite genre, also a genre could stop being popular and my magazine would not sell. Also by doing multi genre’s it means the magazine will not be focussed and pinpointed on one solo artist or group. This will include; Rock, Country, R&B, Indie, Dance, Soul, Jazz/Swing and Pop in my magazine.

What do you feel are the top 5 genres at this time ?Also what types of storylines do you find interesting ?

Target Audience My Target Audience is people who are young age, trendy, indie, townie stereotypical groups. The age of my Target Audience will be around 16 to early 20’s, mainly targeted to women but also men who are interested in the magazine. It will also be for the female and male gender who are interested in all the gossip of celebrities and the latest music and top hits in the chart. The aim for my magazine is for all types of people that love music but don’t all want to peruse it when they are older for a career.. Also I want people to be able to enjoy the magazine and to be inspired by their idols and how they live their life, the secrets in their life and what they are interested in. Young genders who are into the latest fashion will be interested in the magazine, as i want to include all the latest fashion and trends. Mainly i would like my magazine to inspire students that have just left school, post 16, college and university students so they still feel like they are involved and can find out the latest gossip.

My UPS (Unique Selling Point)

My unique selling point idea for my magazine is that all students will get free music downloads for iTunes every time they purchase the magazine for up to 20 issues of the magazine. Also students will always get the magazine for half price. As long as they have identification for being a student and they will receive a stamp card that will be stamped every time they purchase a magazine. People who are not a student will only get the magazine for half price for the first 20 issues. The code for the free iTunes download will be given to them when the magazine is purchased. People who would I wanted to do this to get my magazine out in the public and the name well know.
