077 ADVANCED PRODUCTION PROJECTS HIGH SCHOOL, NEWARK CITY SCHOOLS, NEWARK OHIO This course will use the skills from both the Digital Video and
Studio Webcasting courses to create original HD programming
for the high school’s streaming website “Wildcat News Net” and
Newark’s Time-Warner Digital 19. Students will also learn to
manage a streaming media website, posting related written
materials, still photos, and video programs on-line.
076 STUDIO WEBCASTING TECHNIQUES HIGH SCHOOL, NEWARK CITY SCHOOLS, NEWARK OHIO This course uses our 2-camera television studio and TriCaster
computer effects system to introduce students to studio and
control room operations, as well as the technology behind live
webcasting. Students will work as part of a production crew on a
live program. They will have the opportunity to serve as camera
operator, digital effects operator, audio operator, teleprompter
operator, on-air talent, and director for various projects utilizing
the latest in green screen and computer generated 3D virtual set
technology. Some completed projects may be entered in
regional competitions.

075 INTRO TO DIGITAL VIDEO HIGH SCHOOL, NEWARK CITY SCHOOLS, NEWARK OHIO This course will introduce students to the basics of Digital Video
Production as used in single camera Electronic News Gathering
and Electronic Field Production. Students will complete group
and individual projects creating Public Service Announcements,
Commercials, News Interviews, and How-To videos using
Professional HD Digital Video Equipment. Students will learn to
use computer based Non-Linear Digital Editing to add effects,
graphics and music to their productions, and how to select the
proper digital file format for Web, Broadcast, DVD creation, etc.
CIT-240 IT SPECIALIST CAPSTONE UNDERGRAD, CENTRAL OHIO TECHNICAL COLLEGE, NEWARK OHIO This course is designed to allow the student to work individually
or in small groups to complete a major, independent project or
group of projects that builds upon and summarizes elements of
the IT Professional plan of study.
CIT-103 TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION SUPPORT UNDERGRAD, CENTRAL OHIO TECHNICAL COLLEGE, NEWARK OHIO This course introduces the student to the installation, integration and troubleshooting of home computer systems, audio/ video, cable/ satellite, telecommunication, security and lighting systems. This course prepares the student for the Comp TIA DHTI+ certification.
CIT-101 USER SUPPORT CONCEPTS UNDERGRAD, CENTRAL OHIO TECHNICAL COLLEGE,
NEWARK OHIO This course introduces the student to help desk concepts
including operations, processes, procedures, tools and
technologies. In addition, the help desk setting, roles and
responsibilities of help desk personnel, and end user conflicts
and resolution are discussed. Real-world scenarios and hands-on
exercises allow the student to practice implementing help desk
and user support techniques.

NEWARK CITY SCHOOLS, NEWARK, OHIO AUGUST 2014 – AUGUST 2016 As Broadcast Manager and Teacher, taught award winning Digital
Media and dual-enrollment Computer Technology classes,
served as advisor for Media Club, repaired production facilities,
lead students to produce 390 videos, and win 11 awards
including a Student Production Award at the Ohio Valley Emmys
in 2015.

broadcast equipment road kits, Assisted with remote broadcasts.

with 18 direct reports, Polaris Branch IT Manager, and Director
