PSY Applications In Business Affairs by Alan Svejk

The science of Psychology has many possible applications everywhere, including BusinessAffairs. If you acquire this alternative, advanced approach in your professional life, FemaleAsset, you can gain massive general advantages, to become ultimately competetitive memberof the society, invited to hold highest positions.

Welcome to the 7th part of my special Women Empowerment project, called expressively"Women Elite". The mission is simple: to prepare women for the highest social andprofessional challenges, particularly in Business, Public Relations, Security and Milita-ry, and for the benefit of the society.

My own interest in Psychology is deeply connected with so called PSYOPS, or Psychologi-cal Operations. Originally a military concept, but included thoughts have many possible al-ternative uses everywhere, including Business and professional world. The basic principle isto know, how the people think, so you can persuade and influence them , and also theevents around you.

Just imagine the contemporary world. It seems so fast, wild, uncontrollable, steadily chan-ging, unpredictable. The basic mission of PSY use is to stop being only the passive elementof the world, but to become an active one, who is not only an object of actions of others, but who is able to rule his/her world and his/her vicinity.

I once read a nice wisdom on LinkedIn:

"The best way to predict future is to create it."

Imagine, what tremendous power you would have, if you would be able to create the futu-re. Of course, we all create our future by our daily actions, but influencing the business suc-cess of your corporation for example, it could really help you to rise in the managementranks!

Do you know that famous McKinsey company? Their strength is in so called Business Intel-ligence. In other words, they provide their clients deep and exact analyses and data about theflow of worldwide and/or local business operations, and these information should help theirclients to decide the right way, so their business will be sustainable and growing, not hinderedby (predicted) external events.

If you would know the future exactly, then you could avoid many mistakes or change yourstrategy in advance, so you would gain advantages in any situation. For example, that famousinvestor Warren Buffett says, that when a financial market is falling down and crumbling, itis a good time to buy shares, although everybody else is selling and getting rid of their invest-ment assets.

In fact, if McKinsey would announce, as a strong player and pure representative of sociolo-gical "band wagon theory", that tomorrow at 12:00, something is surely going to happen, everybody would listen and adapt to this prediction. And that is an incredible power!

Or if Warren Buffett would say, that certain financial market will collapse tomorrow... whatwould happen? Of course, that many people would believe it, because he is an authority!

But there is an alternative explanation, that by publishing this information, McKinsey orBuffett would be directly influencing the future, by so called "self-fulfilling prophecy"!

As McKinsey would in fact create the future, they could afterwards say that they predictedit exactly, and this sure and easy success further strenghtens their reputation and optionsto influence things! So the circle is closed and they are considered as mysterious and highlydesired corporation by employees.

Did you ever think, why the financial market is changing so fast, hour by hour, or even minu-te by minute? Well, the answer is simple: so many Business Intelligence meets there, bothgenuine, wrong or even fake, that the market is constantly trembled.

Now, you can see, how the future can be shaped and influenced. Quite easily. It is enoughto persuade some key players, and sometimes, to persuade one, single person is good enou-gh to start a wave.

This person can be, for example, an average analyst in McKinsey. Or a politician. Or ajournalist in the economic section of famous newspaper. If this person will pass the infor-mation further, deeply persuaded, it works as the domino effect.

The same applies with the present "Big Data" hype. Basically, the involved companies promi-se us, that by processing vast amount of data, we will be able to make right decisions, andthese Big Data will allow us to forecast the future, beating competition.

But who can control, if those data are not corrupted or sabotaged? And what happens, ifthey are corrupted? The consequences can be really serious, and definitely out of any exactability to predict the future.

In summary - these so called predictions are always questionable, regardless of how manydata is used. And the main element here seems to be, that the authors persuade you to be-lieve it. How can you check their information? You either believe it, but it means to accept itas it is, or deny it. But if they are persuasive, well... it is quite easy to succumb to this pressu-re!

Who would contest McKinsey experts? But aren´t they rather alchymists?

But let´s not critize them. They are fortunately so generous, that they will share some of theirsecret strategies with us.

The basic rule is - if you are able to persuade your vicinity, including your superiors, thatsomething is going to happen, you have a tremendous power in your hands.

The moment when they believe and take precautions based on your prediction - well, you arethe key asset! Would they ever dismiss a high-benefit employee like you? And what areputation will accompany you! How many company values you saved by your cautious andconscientious approach, above your work duties and pay-grade!

Imagine that. Friday evening, all your colleagues left for home long time ago, but you stayedin the office, analyzing, studying an issue... and then you found it! That critical data, whichcan save your company, or bring her many advantages!

They must value a employee asset like you! You will be promoted soon... they will notice, nodoubt about it!

Become imporant - and you are the queen of your corporation, steadily rising up.

Persuasion is, as seen above, in the beginning of any business success. You don´t have tostudy Yale or Harvard - even with your grammar school only, if you are able to persuade, that your data is solid and something will happen... well, the world is yours!

I know, Female Asset, that you are honest and you rather rely only on some hard background, education and experience, not some magician´s claims. But if you will combine your greatprofessional background with your precise and persuasive predictions, exactly asMcKinsey friends do... well, who could question you? You will become the real authority, and soon, your company can be totally dependent on your opinion, so your importance andreputation can rise to the top.

I don´t just talk here. It is too easy to write such brave thoughts with mere pen. But i decidedto do this Persuasion thing on two practical levels:

Firstly, I publicly announced, that I will promote Andrej Babis, Czech controversial industrialtycoon and Minister of Finance, so he will become the new Czech president in 2018. It isthree years from today, so it is a great opportunity to start first with such prediction, and crea-te a new, but real thought. And let´s see, what happens! Maybe it becomes reality also...anyway, I plan to participate women in this operation, so they can show the world, howcapable they are.

Secondly, I will continue this research of "PSY Business Intelligence". I plan to test specialfemale abilities here and... well, simply to create a modest competition for our McKinseyfriends, so Business Intelligence market will be revived. Female ability of perception willbeat their allegedly scientific approach!

If they can predict future, with their boring analyses, that nobody understands or reads, but allbelieve them... let´s do it too, but with much more fun and attractivity!
