Dictionary as a person‟s “course or progress

through life (or a distinct portion of life)”.

The concept of a career is centered round an

individual‟s life.

You would agree with me that your career is

your life and not mine.

Competence is the ability of an individual to do a job properly.

Competence is a combination of practical and theoretical knowledge.

Develop employability Skills – technology, professionalism, unpaid experience (Volunteer more while on campus).

The personal branding concept has to do with taking yourself and your career as a brand.

Personal branding suggests that career success comes from „self-packaging‟.

A brand is all about perception, so is your personal brand.

Build a Personal Brand that is Attractive to Employers, so the jobs can come to you literarily!

Crafting A Winning Résumé

The right mindset for writing a résumé/CV is that of a marketing mindset.

You‟re a product being sold to a potential employer and the goal of your résumé is to communicate what you can do.

You have to see your résumé as a marketing tool because that is what it is; employers‟ first impression about you.

A résumé would not get you the job but it gives you an interview opportunity.

The Right Interview Mindset

An interview is a conversation between two or more people where questions are asked by the interviewer to elicit facts or statements from the interviewee.

In the case of a job interview, the interviewer (usually the employer or recruiter) assesses the interviewee (potential employee) on the suitability to do a job or otherwise.

A job interview is a game of perception than competence so make a great impression.
