Norwegian Government (National Courts Administration) : I&AM Prestudy Scope : Outline prerequisites in order to roll out integrated Identity & Access Management
services. This assignment included educating representatives from the receiving organization to understand core concepts and what kind of issues to prepare for.
Role : Advisor/ SME (Subject Matter Expert) on controlled adoption of I&AM
Period : Two months (November – December ’09)
Statoil : Global Operations Data Integration (GODI) Scope : Implement a platform (called GODI; based on IBM’s IIC; more about this at
ibm.com/software/info/integrated/) for their new enterprise-wide information integration solution, to be used across all oil-producing platforms
Role : Information architect; workstream lead for information modeling team
Period : A year and counting (from May 2010 to June 2011)
Norwegian Government (Agency for Financial Mgmt.): Large-scale SSO Scope : Integrate Single Sign-On across multiple systems (including both Web-based and
enterprise/thin client applications provided as a remote ASP service) to hundreds of public organizations and approx. 60 000 daily users
Role : Integration architect (manage design and all technical work across teams)

Yara International (chemicals for green farming and animal fodder): Due Diligence Scope : Conduct site visit and deliver audit report outlining the characteristics (people,
processes, IT) of an acquired company. Suggest interim support model and migration path for inclusion into the new mother company.
Role : Solution implementer (the person who performed the assessment)
Period : Two months (October – November ’08)
Aibel (petroleum engineering; formerly ABB Oil & Gas): Enterprise Architecture Scope : Map the client’s current and desired future states (‘As-Is’ and ‘To-Be’), then provide
a structured approach and actionable plan for closing any gaps between these situations.
Afterwards I got reassigned to coach and support during their ongoing Improval efforts.
Role : First I was a member of IBM’s delivery team, then coach to the client’s EA team

realized with WebSphere (SOA) in a strategic, business-driven manner.

Nordea (leading bank in Nordic region): Reimplement an Online Bank Scope : Move all online banking services serving the Norwegian market (~ 380K users, ~ 50K
logins/day) to a new setup. Rewrite and redeploy to multiple failover sites in another country. Enable new security foundation (including PKI-based authentication). Ten-
fold upgrade of underlying hardware, major upgrades of all software packages
Role : Integration architect
Period : 6 months (January – June ’07. The project had been ongoing over a year before that)
Apokjeden (pharmaceuticals distribution/retail chain): Architectural Advisory Scope : Assess critical business application to evaluate a potential change of outsourcing
partner. After that I contributed on a project to define the IT foundation for their end-to-
end business process chain. Later I was re-engaged to continue consulting
Role : IT architect, external advisor, methodologist for aligning IT to the business
Period : 2 months (June – Aug. ’07. Pulled out to contribute on AltInn case; returned afterwards)
Orkla/Sapa (aluminum manufacturer): Inter-Company Governance Processes
