A POPULATION OF THE INTERNET

• Facebook Has 1.01 Billion Active Users Visiting the Site Every Month

• There are 42 Million Facebook Brand “Pages” for Business/Music/Etc

• An Average month in America will See People Spending 53.5 Billion Minutes on Facebook

• An Estimated 250 Million Messages (Tweets) are Posted per day on Social Sharing site Twitter, Which is Nearly 3,000 Tweets per Second, on Average.

• Twitter Has 500 Million Total Users as of December 2012

• Blatantly “Marketing” to them

• “One Way” Conversations

• Pestering Them to Like You

• Spamming Them

• Failing to Reciprocate

• Interrupting Conversations

• Always Wanting Something

STEP BY STEP: “FACEBOOK”

• Create a Page at Facebook Pages, Build it Out

• Start Posting, Don’t Wait For Fans (No One Follows an Empty Page)

• Invite Your Facebook Friends To “Like” Your Page

• Create an Ad Budget and an Ad at Facebook Ads (Target based on industry, demo, etc)

• Post Once a Day at Minimum, Thrice a Day Maximum

• Peak Post: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

STEP BY STEP: TWITTER• Get A Twitter Account

• Download Tweetcaster on Iphone or Android (Link Account)

• Get Tweetdeck Client For Mac or PC (Link Account)

• Go to twitter.com/search (look for people talking about your Business, follow them)

• Go to followerwonk.com, Search for your industry, find influencers, follow them

• Listen

• Ask Questions

• Answer Questions

• Join the Conversation, Without Interrupting It (Always Add Value)

• Make use of @ reply and #hashtags (#finance, #cupcakes, etc.)
